Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 3m x 3m x .30m Plexiglas box stored in a vault at Sector-██. No skin contact is to be made with SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a wooden pillow dating back to 6500 B.C.. The object is structured similarly to pillows found in sites related to ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. SCP-XXXX consists of a rectangular base (measuring 17.7cm x 17.7cm x 2.54cm), a short, conical-cylindrical stem, and a cradle to place the head.
An area within a 1.18 meter radius around SCP-XXXX will grow a dense patch of flora consisting of grass (Cynodon plectostachyus) and various flowers (Agrostemma gitago, Anemone coronaria L., Calycotome villosa, Cichorium spp., Ornithogalum narbonense, and Rubus ulmifolius subsp. sanctus). The flora does not require soil to grow and will sprout from any material SCP-XXXX is place upon (see Flora Growth Test). The flora does not require maintenance, nor water or sunlight, to live. The flora appears to have little to no roots. Removal of SCP-XXXX, or removal of the flora from the material it is growing out of, will lead to the death of the flora at a biologically normal rate as seen in non-anomalous versions of these species.
Discovery: The Foundation became aware of SCP-XXXX when rumors of a holy object became emulated from a remote village near ██████, India. The elders of the village informed The Foundation that the object was found partially buried in a nearby riverbed. The Foundation retrieved the item and administered Amnestics to the village. The Foundation believes this object is a lost relic referenced in historical texts from around the globe that couldn't be placed past 650 A.D.

Result: Instantaneous flora growth in a 1.18m radius of SCP-XXXX. Flora was fully grown within 3 minutes. Flora was tested and found to be no different than the same species of flora we find scattered around the the transcontinental region between North Africa and Western Asia. After being picked, the flora died at a biologically normal rate as seen in non-anomalous versions of these species.

Result: Instantaneous flora growth in a 1.18m radius of SCP-XXXX. Flora was fully grown within 7 minutes.

Condition: SCP-XXXX was placed upon the torso of D-XXXX, who was laying on their back, with hands, arms, and legs strapped to the floor, on a 5m x 5m sheet of Aluminum metal.
Result: Instantaneous flora growth upon the metal in a 1.18m radius of SCP-XXXX. No growth indicated on D-XXXX, although there was flora growth beneath him. Flora was fully grown within 14 minutes.
Continued Testing: D-XXXX was instructed to continue lying on his back with SCP-XXXX on his torso. The test was performed overnight. D-XXXX reported feeling no ill-effects of any kind, a psychological evaluation was performed, and he was returned to his cell. There were no changes to the condition of the flora.

Condition: SCP-XXXX placed upon a 1m x 1m x 1m glass cube
Result: Instantaneous flora growth. There was almost full floral coverage of 5 sides of the cube (the top on which SCP-XXXX sits, and the four sides connected to it). No flora was discovered on the bottom of the cube. Flora was fully grown within 6 minutes.
Addendum: While inspecting the flora at the conclusion of the last flora test, Dr. T██ was kneeling near SCP-XXXX, with his hand on the cradle for support, for a prolonged period of time. Dr. T██ reported hearing a voice say his name, and attempt to speak with him. Dr. T██ quickly removed himself from the area and did not hear the voice further. A psychological evaluation was given to Dr. T██, and he was cleared to work.

On the 15th of April, 20██, I had just finished the day's first Flora Growth Test on SCP-XXXX. I began to inspect the flora that had grown around the object, looking for any differences in the species (or even looking for insects) and, during the inspection, I had my hand resting on SCP-XXXX. In hindsight, I can see why I, perhaps, should not have been in contact with an anomalous object, but, having conducted the test on the D-class personnel, I believed there was scientific evidence to support that touching SCP-XXXX garnered no anomalous effects.
However, after what I gather to be several minutes, I heard a voice. It said my name, █████. A soft-spoken, male voice. I was shocked at first, but didn't react. I thought I may have just imagined it, but then it said, 'Talk. You.', and then a word that sounded like "Varenun". At that point, I got up, and I no longer heard it speaking. Curiously, it sounded as though it was struggling to speak. I left the area immediately and contacted my superiors. I was cleared to continue with further research into this new, anomalous effect, and that will be my next step in the investigation of SCP-XXXX. I'm not sure why I spoke to me, but D-XXXX didn't hear anything all night. Very intriguing.

Condition: D-XXXX was to return and touch SCP-XXXX. D-XXXX was to wear Nitrile gloves and to hold exposure for five minutes.
Result: D-XXXX reported not hearing any voice, and reported no ill-effects.
Continued Testing: D-XXXX was instructed to keep his hands on SCP-XXXX for ten more minutes. There was no change in results.

Condition: D-XXXX was to return and touch SCP-XXXX with no gloves, and was instructed to hold exposure until instructed otherwise.
Result: After seven minutes and forty-six seconds of exposure, there was apparent contact with D-XXXX and the voice (See Communication Log 1). On site microphones did not pick up any other voices in the room.

Dr. N███████ indicated that SCP-XXXX-01 used English, Arabic, Yiddish, Greek, and Italian to speak, but slowly used less and less non-English languages as the interview continued.

At this point, Dr. T██ instructs Dr. N███████ to determine the nature and intention of the entity.

Dr. N███████: Please just call me Dr. N███████. What should I call you?
SCP-XXXX-01: I am just here to share what I know. I think it'd be best to share with you, now.
Dr. N███████: Since it seems you can communicate so much more clearly now, can you explain what you meant by, "Place head down. We dream"?
SCP-XXXX-01: It seems as though, doctor, that throughout my past verbal dialogues, I struggled to clearly communicate the exact meanings of my conversations. I worry that, now, I may do so as well. It is for that reason that I ask for you dream with me, so that I may show you what I have shown the others in hopes that you, or your organization, may be the ones to properly express what I show you.
Dr. N███████: You struggled to speak before, but, now, it appears your quite capable of expressing yourself quite well. I'm sure I will understand better than I did our past dialogues.
SCP-XXXX-01: Not past dialogues with you, doctor. Past dialogues with others whose languages I understood and understood well. Yet, my message does not seem to have come across correctly. Perhaps this will be different. Perhaps I can show you what I have shown others, and perhaps our dialogues will lead to a better understand of what I am intending to express. I've never spoken to doctors, and whatever it is that is attached to you seems more sophisticated than times I have seen before. Now, doctor, I would like to show you a few things.
Dr. N███████ receives expressed permission from Dr. T██ to lay his head upon SCP-XXXX. Dr. N███████ does so, and appears to have instantly fallen asleep. The brain monitor indicates that Dr. N███████ is in deep REM, and he does not respond to verbal or physical contact. Vital signs show no deviation in readings collected from the duration of this experiment. Dr. N███████ appears to stay in REM sleep for, roughly, eighteen minutes and suddenly, abruptly, wakes up.
Dr. N███████ reports feeling exhausted and reports no other ill effects. He is given a psychological and medical evaluation, and is cleared for work. Dr. N███████ gives a statement regarding the contents of the dream he experienced (see Statement of Events - Dream Log 1).

I was instructed, on 05/12/20██, to rest my head upon SCP-XXXX during an experiment with Dr. T██. This is following several [Pause] interviews with SCP-XXXX-01. As I laid my head head down on the crescent portion of the object, I was immediately transported into this black space. I don't mean as though my eyes were close. I actually felt as if I was there. I couldn't see myself - my hands, my feet - and I couldn't feel myself either, but I was physical. I tried to speak to SCP-XXXX-01, but I heard no response.
The Earth, then, appeared before me. It looked normal, at first, but the ocean levels began to swallow the land. The green disappeared, the oceans browned, and the sky reddened. After a flash of white, I was suddenly in a valley. There was a mountain beside me, a river in front of me, and a forest nearby. The river began to turn red. Frogs and reptiles began pouring out of the river, as bugs began to overtake and kill the land and the trees. A brutal storm whirled overhead, and rain and lightning began to strike down around me.
After another flash of white, I found myself in a desert, and, in the distance, a mass of people approached. As they got closer, I noticed a man, dressed in white, leading the people, and every person in the crowd appeared distraught.
That was the end of the experience. I "woke up" back in the lab feeling exhausted, as though I had gone through a night with little to no sleep, and I have nothing else to report on the matter.
Following discussion between Dr. T██, Dr. N███████, his colleagues, and superiors, there was debate as to what the contents of the dream pertained to and insinuated. As a result of the discussion, Dr. N███████ was to interview SCP-XXXX-01 to determine the meaning behind sharing this experience.

Dr. N███████: I have spoken to colleagues of mine about what you showed me. We seem to disagree on what, exactly, you shared with me.
SCP-XXXX-01: I have shared it many times, Doctor, to many different people.
Dr. N███████: Yes, we believed you had. Some of our lead experts wanted me to ask a few questions, and, I'll start by asking, when else have you shared these stories?
SCP-XXXX-01: They are not stories. I shared them long ago. The world around you appears much different.
Dr. N███████: Different from when?
SCP-XXXX-01: From when I first spoke and when I last spoke.
Dr. N███████: And when was the last time you spoke?
SCP-XXXX-01: It is hard to say. I have passed hands many times, between many people, kingdoms, and languages.
Dr. N███████: I see. And you can see the world around me?
SCP-XXXX-01: Partially.
Dr. N███████: Interesting. You said that you have shared these stories many times, and some of my colleagues believe they see a connection between what you showed me and what stories we have heard here before. Some of us believe the stories you shared are biblical. Do you know what means?
SCP-XXXX-01: Yes. I believe people have collected these visions into a book.
Dr. N███████: Yes, in a way. They are a bit different than what you showed me.
SCP-XXXX-01: That is precisely the issue, Doctor.
Dr. N███████: Hm. Does that make you God? The God that shared these stories with the people of the past? People like Moses and Joshua?
SCP-XXXX-01: I'm afraid the people who have written the stories you have heard simply couldn't comprehend what I was trying to tell them. They had a primitive understanding of time, and the world they lived in was too different.
Dr. N███████: What are you saying?
SCP-XXXX-01: I don't want you, or your organization, believing you understand it all without me fully sharing with you. Please, let me show you more.

This took place on 05/19/20██. After a short interview with SCP-XXXX-01, I laid my head upon SCP-XXXX to begin another dream. This time, it began in, what appeared to be, a hearing room. It was similar to congress, or some parliamentary meeting. I watched as a man pleaded the government to act. I'm not sure what exactly he was telling them, but it was about some man he believed to be important in some way, vital or dangerous…I'm not sure. I faded in and out of other hearings and meetings similar to that rather quickly, and, in each one, the man seemed to be speaking about the same thing.
Hm. Odd. [Pause] There was also this one man, another man, who I always saw in the back. [Pause] But he's fuzzy, not sure if I'm remembering correctly.
There was a flash of white, and I started to revisit all those hearings again. However, this time, in the center of each of them, was this man. [Pause]. Yes, I'm rather certain it was the same man that I saw in the back of the other visions. And on his head was a brilliant, green, crown.
What happens next is, put quite simply, total and utter destruction of the world. It begins as geo-political wars, where nations are fighting and killing one another on a level that I couldn't have imagined, and new and large empires are being forged from the battles. Death seems to encapsulate the world through war, starvation, and anarchy.
What followed was a series of events. Fires rage around the world. A large meteor shower followed by a massive meteor strike hits the earth, and what I think to be the Mariana Trench cracks open. A massive army slaughters nations of people utilizing tools of destruction that I have never seen.
If we we are correct about the biblical themes related to these dreams, this is clearly Revelation. It's been thousands of years since these books were written, and, for the most part, we know most of these events simply never took place. From our team's analysis and discussions, our best understanding, so far, is that SCP-XXXX-01 gave the stories of the Bible to people long ago. Likely, SCP-XXXX-01 wants to be worshiped as a god, and gave stories of creation, and destruction, and his power to gather influence among primitive people who didn't understand physics, chemistry, and biology. I'd like to speak with him once more, just to be sure we can clearly understand his intentions.

We have known of the apocalypse for thousands of years, and none of it has come true. You're right, we are much more sophisticated than the people you spoke to before. We understand the world better, and this organization understands it better than everyone else. We have seen things that make us respect biblical stories and the characters in them, but it appears you are merely repeating stories from long ago that serve no basis in our time. Tell me, do you wish for us to fear you so that we may worship you or the God you represent?
SCP-XXXX-01: Doctor, as I have said before, I am here to caution you. To warn you. The people before you have adulterated, and misinterpreted, these visions and used them for a purpose that is not mine. The God in the stories you have heard is not who, or what, you think he is. He is coming, and you should be prepared. Let me know you the end.
Dr. N███████: Yes, Revelation, the end of the world. You have shown me his return. I saw the flooding of the world, the plagues. Then, Jesus leads the people. The Anti-Christ, was that the guy on the throne? He ushers in the end of the world? We understand what you're saying, and these stories have influenced the world at a level you probably don't comprehend. Your stories have gained quite a following.

I was instructed, on 05/12/20██, to rest my head upon SCP-XXXX during an experiment with Dr. T██. As I laid my head head down on the crescent portion of the object, I was immediately transported into this black space. I don't mean as though my eyes were close. I actually felt as if I was there. I couldn't see myself - my hands, my feet - and I couldn't feel myself either, but I was physical. From all directions, the blackness seemed to collapse into a point far in the distance, as though someone had opened a drain in a sink, and the blackness began to be sucked in leaving a bright, white in place of the darkness. After a few moments, it was all white, but the black began to emerge from the same place, and enveloped the white again. Only, this time, there was this cloudy haze.
The haze began to collect, and all around me these disks of light began to form. I began to move, rapidly, toward a disk. As I entered it, there was another, smaller disk of brownish gas growing larger. I'm sure you can see where this is going, since it became clear to me this was reminiscent on the creation of the universe, and, like we know, the sun began to form, and planets, and asteroids. It was clearly our solar system I was witnessing evolve.
I suddenly moved towards, what I presumed to be, Earth, but everything "transitioned", and I was now outside (like on the edge of) of a destroyed, rotten forest. I watched as a two figures began to approach me from deep within the trees. "Sad" would be putting it lightly. They looked emotionally destroyed. Behind them, standing in the forest, was the man from before. The man who lead the people in the desert…[Pause]…the same man on the throne. He wore a chilling smile. That's when I heard SCP-XXXX-01 again.
"Do not trust him when he arrives."
"These were not history lessons. They were warnings of what is to come."
And that was it.
All further attempts to establish contact with SCP-XXXX-01 has failed. Laying one's head upon SCP-XXXX does not result in any anomalous effects or contact with any anomalous entities. The anomalous properties pertaining to flora growth indicate no change.
Information regarding these dreams and interviews have been passed to superiors for the proper response.
