Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: SCP-XXXX Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-E is to be stored in a 10'x10' copper-walled cell, on an encrypted server only accessible by the original computer upon which SCP-XXXX-E was originally discovered. Any and all other occurrences of SCP-XXXX-E appearing within any computer or electronic device with the ability to access an email service will be confiscated and placed within a cell and server with the same specifications. SCP-XXXX-V Is to be contained within the original aluminum padded case it was discovered in, placed upon an aluminum table in the exact center of a 30'x30' cell. This cell is to be monitored at all times by surveillance staff, with no access to the room being granted unless otherwise stated by Dr. Field. The room is to have fully independent ventilation and air purification systems as well as temperature regulations to keep the room at exactly 1° C.
Description: SCP-XXXX-E is an e-mail chain between two unknown doctors discussing an unknown batch of samples (possible vaccines) in relation to a virus called "IXUS-IV". SCP-XXXX-E will appear after staff of the SCP-Foundation will experience a freeze of their computer, whereupon their e-mail service will change to that of an unknown URL (ndcontrol.gov). The computer upon which SCP-XXXX-E has occurred will then be unable to access any other sites other than this e-mail service. The only emails to be found upon this service are that between the sender of these emails, who is logged into the e-mail service as Andrew Salenger (vog.lortnocdn|regnelasna#vog.lortnocdn|regnelasna), and the receiver Alexander Clements (vog.lortnocdn|stnemelcla#vog.lortnocdn|stnemelcla). The identities of these persons are unknown, and no trace of such e-mails exist on any other e-mail service or URL accessible by auxiliary computers other than the ones containing SCP-XXXX-E. The occurrence of SCP-XXXX-E seems to be tied to when any staff member of the SCP-Foundation is writing an e-mail in relation to being ill themselves, or any other member of the SCP-Foundation being ill. However only occurring very rarely, and only known to have happened three times at the current date. The first occurrence of SCP-XXXX-E was on the personal computer of Dr. Field. The e-mail chain included the following:
All expunged texts were expunged within SCP-XXXX-E and the expunged elements are unknown.
All 15 attachments attached to the final e-mail are corrupted except one, which contains an image of SCP-XXXX-V, with the label being expunged.
SCP-XXXX-V specifies both part of SCP-XXXX-V's containment, as well as the the Keter class itself. SCP-XXXX-V.v is held within an aluminum briefcase of unknown make and model. There is a label upon the briefcase, which reads "Sample #4", this briefcase is identified as SCP-XXXX-V.b. Within SCP-XXXX-V.b is a small vial of an fluid with an unknown makeup, which itself is SCP-XXXX-V.v. All testing of SCP-XXXX-V.v has been ended indefinitely after multiple outbreaks of SCP-XXXX-V.v. Any time SCP-XXXX-V.b has been opened, all humans in immediate proximity (10'-20') will begin to display symptoms that of what was described within SCP-XXXX-E, but at a highly escalated rate. These symptoms include: immense swelling in various areas, reddened body parts partnered by bruising in similar areas, excessive sweating, urinating, defecating, and vomiting, and purging of body plasmas. These symptoms seem to all occur within an hour long period. This results in the death of all humans infected. This infection can be spread after SCP-XXXX-V.b has been closed if any other human is to come within close proximity of someone who has been infected. This has resulted in the forced termination of 57 subjects. SCP-XXXX-V's origins are unknown. It was sighted outside of the Dr. Fields office in a crudely taped cardboard box, and no cameras or personnel recall seeing it there. Dr. Fields took the package and immediately placed it within an empty containment cell, whereupon testing ensued.
Addendum: Dr. Fields: SCP-XXXX-V is a strange case. Where we have seen sort of "inter dimensional" cases before at the Foundation, its rare that we have corporeal elements to those cases. I believe that SCP-XXXX may be that of an allusion, and maybe a warning. A good portion of this SCP is unknown and would lead me to believe that SCP-XXXX-V did not exist at all in our "world" until recently, rather existing in another. However, this is only a hypothesis, and further research is needed to really prove or disprove this.
