Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard anomalous object containment vault at site 504. The item is not to be removed except for valid testing purposes. Under no circumstances is it to be used to contain another SCP.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard model CZ P10 C pistol with a matte black paint job. Any type of ammunition loaded into SCP-XXXX will instantly be converted to SCP-XXXX-1, which can be removed from the gun and fired from any other firearm (provided it is compatible with the original type of ammunition)
SCP-XXXX-1 is proportionatly similar to it's original type, but absorbs exactly 100% of light that hits it, giving it a visually 2D appearance and a perfect black colour.
When SCP-XXXX-1 hits any surface, it creates a 2m3 area with the same light absorbant qualities as the object itself, and is to be labelled SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-2 acts as a portal to what is described as the void, but is actually a small pocket dimension roughly 10m3. The walls of the pocket dimension are of similar composition to fabric, but are rigid are seemingly indestructible. They do not share the same light absorbing properties as SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2, rather they are a similar colour to SCP-XXXX itself, as well as producing approximatly 100 lumens of light in every direction, although the wall itself does not seem to be the source of light.
Any object placed inside the pocket dimension will always appear there, regardless of the positioning of the opening, and the exit to the dimension is always in the centre of the north wall. It is always a consistant 3m tall by 2m wide, with a light grey frame and two short steps. Anything exiting the pocket dimension will appear upright in our world, regardless of the orientation it was in inside the pocket dimension. (see testing log-1)
Addendum XXXX.1: Discovery of SCP-XXXX
SCP-XXXX was originally discovered by the foundation in 19██ during investigation of the group titled "Winterkin", along with several other anomalous items. At the time it was believed to be a conventional weapon and was given to the ███ police force, who returned it apon discovery of the anomalous ammuntion discovered inside the firearm.
Testing log-1
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was to be fired at a standard test dummy on a foundation fire range.
Results: The dummy and environment surrounding it in approximatly a 2m3 radius became solid black. Apon examination, it was discovered that the surface had a similar consistancy to water, and when stepped into, transported the person into a small pocket dimension. Over a period of 15 minutes, the viscocity of the surface slowly grew until it once again became solid and returned to it's original colour.
Notes: The pocket dimension originally contained several thousand dollars in AUD, 14 ritualistic cloaks and a 30cm x 20cm x 20cm wooden box with a strange cypher on the side, reading: "Yqzv zvzuqvzw yqqsqrzr qyzvyw, qryq zxyzzryq qyqv qsqryq yxqryqqs yqqsqv zugzgq yyzvqrqw." I am still curious as to what this could mean. The dimension's exit seems to appear on the closest wall to it's original exit, and time is also relevant there. -Dr. Yusof
Testing log-2
Procedure: D-5403 is to enter the pocket dimension and attempt to damage the south wall using a standard steel pickaxe.
Result: After half an hour of constant striking, the wall (and the pickaxe) was unphased, as if the attempts to damage it had never happened. The D-Class exited the dimension and the exit appeared on the east wall of the testing chamber. All further attempts to damage anything in the pocket dimension have been unsuccessful, and all objects retain their original properties after exiting the dimension.
