Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: All Foundation attempts to capture SCP 7623 have thus far been met with failure. Foundation efforts are instead to be directed towards reducing the instances of SCP 7623. Operatives from MTF Delta-7 ("Repair-Men") are to monitor web traffic and media ads for the sale of televisions and media equipment capable of creating perceptible levels of audio produced over [REDACTED] years before the current calendar date. Any equipment produced on or before the designated year are to be gathered and destroyed via total incineration. Any non-foundation personnel in possession of equipment that matches the known triggers for SCP 7623 are to be given class B-Amnestics, and replacement equipment is to be provided by the Foundation.

Description: SCP 7623 is a humanoid entity approximately 1.8m in height, clothed in a typical blue jumpsuit with black gloves. Currently, SCP 7623's head is composed of a CRTV commonly produced throughout the 1990s, although previous encounters suggest that the model of television coincides with what was commonly produced [REDACTED] years before the current date.

When in a docile state, the screen on SCP 7623 remains inactive. However, security footage captured by victims has shown a variety of different images displayed on SCP 7623's screen when provoked:

-A set of clenched teeth and gums in varying states of composition

-A singular, lidless eye

-A deceased canine of an indeterminate breed that lacks forelimbs

-A red barn in an unknown location

-A badly decomposed Bovine skull with several hundred Magnolia hypolampra

-An unidentified individual repeatedly vomiting Chilopoda

All captured footage of distressed SCP 7623 has been accompanied by audio belonging to a highly distressed Lepus californicus . Closer examination of the audio has revealed no other discernable sound profiles.

Discovery:

The Foundation was first made aware of SCP 7623 in [REDACTED] when four individuals in a wealthy neighborhood in [REDACTED}, Wisconsin had been found deceased in their homes by local authorities. Security footage had shown SCP 7623 leaving CRTVS produced in 1997 at the doorstep of each residence at around 1: AM EST before knocking on the residence and leaving. Within 15 minutes, each individual appeared to open the door and collect the CRTV, with no further activity captured. Upon review of the footage, the authorities notified the Foundation, and all related materials were confiscated.

Investigation of the scene revealed that each victim had expired facing the CRTV, with blood having visibly poured from the eyes, mouth, and nose, although no other visible cause of death was present. Examination of the inside of each CRTV revealed large amounts hair, teeth, and nails belonging to persons later identified as having been reported missing. Close inspection of the main wire connecting to the plug revealed that it had been fashioned out of the optic nerves of each victim

Autopsy confirmed cause of death to be massive hemorrhaging, caused by each individual having surgically removed their optic nerves via excision through the hard and soft Palate. Each individual had in their possession a television or radio produced during or before [REDACTED]

Neighbors interviewed by foundation personnel reported being awoken at the time of the event by static coming from an indiscernible source, and no other anomalous activity was noted by interviewees.

96 hours later, Foundation personnel were made aware that a fifth individual from the same group of residences had been reported missing. Upon arrival at the scene, Foundation agents noted that a CRTV was present on the doorstep of the home and that the front of the entrance was unlocked. Nothing of note was discovered within the residence.

-Recovered security footage showed SCP 7623 leaving a CRTV at the doorstep of the residence at approximately the same time as the other instances, before knocking and leaving.

-Following 10 minutes of no activity, the distressed sound of a Lepus Californicus becomes audible at a significant volume.

-Following 5 more minutes of no activity, SCP 7623 becomes visible in the camera feed approximately 100 yards from the front of the home, and appears to be slowly making its way to the front of the residence.

-Upon reaching the halfway point the image on SCP 7623's face switches to that of a deceased canine missing its forelimbs.

-Approximately three minutes after becoming visible in the camera feed, SCP 7623 begins running and appears to enter the residence

-Neither SCP 7623 or the missing victim are seen leaving the residence
