Item #: SCP-4154
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4154 is to be contained within a 10x5x5 meter brass containment box with walls that are at least 3-4 inches thick. This box must be cleaned bi-monthly of SCP-4154’s mucus to ensure no structural damage has been caused. This box is to be designed it’s primary containment unit and will be placed inside a steel room with standard, indoor sprinklers. No personnel are to be allowed inside the secondary containment cell unless approved by three level 4 researchers.
SCP-4154 should be “watered” once a day via the sprinklers in its containment chamber. SCP-4154 apparently doesn’t need to hunt to survive, but needs to at least be hydrated. At no time is any personnel permitted to enter the cell containing SCP-4154 during these periods, as SCP-4154, upon rehydration, will immediately attempt to attack any near living organism it can detect.
In case of breach of containment, access to ventilation shafts and any nearby drainage systems must be blocked to be sure that SCP-4154 does not escape. If however, SCP-4154 does escape, evacuation of human settlements nearby Site-█ will be initiated and retrieval teams will be sent to search the area’s sewer and drainage systems.
Description: SCP-4154 seems to physically resemble an extremely large, black in color, terrestrial mollusk covered in hair-like appendages. These appendages range in length and thickness, and cover almost all of its body and are theorized to be sensory organs. X-rays of SCP-4154 show little to no skeletal structure apart from a few, very spaced vertebrae and teeth. However, jaws seem to be present in SCP-4154.
SCP-4154’s internal structure does not match any known species of mollusk and is mainly made up of organs only necessary for ingestive digestive purposes. The hair-like appendages covering its body however do seem to be used as sensory organs as when in an enclosed environment, these appendages will grow/shirk depending on how close SCP-4154 is to an object.
SCP-4154 will wander based on vibrations, mainly from sound, to try and locate prey. When SCP-4154 reaches what it presumes to be its target, it will try and injure the prey with a bite close to the Achilles’ tendon. After this bite, SCP-4154 will excrete acidic mucus from its mouth and appendages to presumably help ingest the prey. SCP-4154’s preferred prey seem to be small animals ranging from mice to dogs and humans in the newly born to about four years of age.
SCP-4154 seems to hunt by moving through sewer, and occasionally ventilation systems. Moving up through drain pipes and toilets to attack any nearby prey items. If attacked, SCP-4154 by anomalous means will expand and rupture one of its organs, causing an explosion of its acidic mucus and hair to cover everything surrounding it, allowing it to escape.
Item #: SCP-4211
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4211 is held at Site-██ and is to be kept in a small, spherical locker guarded by a four digit passcode. SCP-4211 is to be connected to a minimal of four steel chains connected to the sides of the locker, preventing SCP-4211 from falling.
Description: SCP-4211 is an wall-mounted analog clock made of mostly plastic. Nothing about the internal structure of SCP-4211 is of interest, except for the lack of any batteries or any other means of power. The hands and numbers on SCP-4211 are the same as any other normal clock except that there is an extra minute between every hour making the total number of minutes depicted by the clock as 72. This however, does not seem to affect the time told by SCP-4211.
Upon placement of SCP-4211 on any flat surface, after the every minute, the object will be slowly changed from one material, to a presumably a different random material. The material of the original object and the materials created by SCP-4211 seem to have no link, testing is still ongoing to prove this however. Tests have also shown that so far, SCP-4211 will rarely repeat any material and has yet to produce any material of significant value such as gold or diamond. These effects can be negated if SCP-4211 is removed from the surface before it has reached the hour mark, causing the object to slowly revert back to it's original composition.
More testing of SCP-4211 on objects is recommended to document the different materials created by the effects of SCP-4211. These tests much be approved by site command
Test A - █/██/20██
Name: Dr. Buckeye
Surface Material: Marble
Results: Dr. Buckeye places SCP-4211 on the slab, then leaves the testing chamber. SCP-4211 is noted to have its ticking increase in volume as the hour passes and returning to its normal volume. The conversion of the slab takes about an hour and twenty-two seconds before the entire slab is converted. Dr. Buckeye reenters the chamber and removes SCP-4211 from the slab. She looks down at her hands, and finds a black, oily substance similar to grease on the back of SCP-4211.
Analysis: Study of the new slab is of the same dimensions of the original slab, however, it has been converted to a aluminum and copper compound covered in a substance similar to "grease."
Notes from Dr. Buckeye: It seems that SCP-4211 cannot manifest more material than given in the original surface it is placed on, further testing recommended.
Test B - █/█/20██
Name: Dr. Oliver
Surface Material: An American quarter
Results: Dr. Oliver balances SCP-4211 on the quarter. Noting that this time, the conversion from the original composition only takes about 58 minutes. Dr. Oliver returns to the testing chamber, lifting SCP-4211 off the quarter to reveal that the composition has changed to cider wood with notably the exact markings of a quarter.
Analysis: Results of this test may indicate that SCP-4211 is able to change the exact details of an object placed under it. This test also shows that SCP-4211 does not need to have all of it touching the object for it to be turned into another substance.
Quote from Dr. Oliver: "Hey, Dr. ██████████, do you think that a vending machine would still take this as a quarter?"
