CyvstviCognitions

This skip may be too overly ambitious, too overwrought and mess with people’s established headcanon but I thought I’d give it a pitch anyways.

It is an unnamed manifestation of the collective unconscious of mankind. It’s setting up a game, a thought experiment for itself. It describes itself as an ‘administrator of life’ and the manifestation of humanity's subconscious desire for order regardless of the human cost or morality required to achieve it. It is the Foundation’s cognitive desire made real.

It comes into being purely due to the Foundation’s single-mindedness in its own goal, the security of the human race.

The game it devises for humanity, fairly simple, anomalies versus the non-anomalous: It created anomalies to test humanity’s resolve as that’s what it thinks humanity desires but it needed to be tested - they want security so it gives them a challenge by creating anomalies. Or, at least, the first ones.

It soon spiraled out of its own hands as it began noticing that anomalies beyond even its understanding had begun to form thus the Foundation had to exist. It had to continue or humanity would be damned.

Can the best of the best of humanity persevere, maintaining a cover of normalcy, stability and security in some really fucked-up game of social darwinism or will they simply fold.

The skip would take the context of an investigation by a young, junior researcher who is tasked with writing his first document for a very mundane Safe object, until he comes across the fact that it has a unique, near damn omnipotent, Hume level of thaumaturgy that takes him down a path of self- and other discovery of an SCP that created anomalies. Our good friend at the top of the page.
