SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored at Site 11 contained in a 5x5 room 200 meters underground surrounded by 50 meters of concrete with an open vent floor attached to an incinerator. Due to the questionable outcome of SCP-XXXX’s testing a miniature hydrogen bomb is built into the room ceiling. The room has one table where SCP-XXXX is placed, and one chair for test subjects to sit in. The room contains 4 observation cameras capable of picking up high frequency sound and must remain turned off while test aren’t being conducted.

One armed guard with a high mimetic resistance must be stationed at the door at all times, any guards assigned to SCP-XXXX’s door should be instructed to shoot any potential threats or intruders on sight and take regular class c amnesics to prevent possible SCP-XXXX-A occurrences outside of testing.

A Site 11 staff member will be chosen randomly to partake in testing once a week. All testing with SCP-XXXX should be monitored by the 4 observation cameras installed in the room, If any high pitch frequencies are picked up by the observation cameras testing should stopped immediately and all observation ceased. All test subjects should be administered class b amnesics after transcribing any information remembered.

If a test results in the occurrence of SCP-XXXX-A the guard stationed at SCP-XXXX’s door should attempt to calm and remove the test subject from the room before SCP-XXXX-A can finish it’s process, if SCP-XXXX-A finishes it’s process the active guard should immediately activate the room’s incinerator to destroy the resulting SCP-XXXX-B before it can restructure.

In the rare instance a SCP-XXXX-B manages to break the rooms containment the mechanical elevator that descends to SCP-XXXX’s containment room should be dropped, if the SCP-XXXX-B cannot be terminated the miniature hydrogen bomb should set off remotely.

Any staff at Site 11 who report seeing boxes of tapes should be restrained and given class a amnesics.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a near indestructible Pentron 1950’s era reel to reel recorder in near perfect condition, it was found alongside ███████ instances at Site ██ however doesn’t appear to be directly related to ████████ due to its size, anomalous nature, lack of send and return address, and the missing ████████ █████. Investigation on SCP-XXXX’s origin are ongoing.

SCP-XXXX emits a constant low frequency humming that can be heard up to 50 meters radius no matter where you are in its radius, the low frequency humming has no anomalous effects outside of being able to hear it when you shouldn't physically be able to, and has been noted by assigned guards to be “highly irritating”.

Six of the seven days of the week SCP-XXXX has no tape on it’s reels, and it becomes physically impossible to add tape, open SCP-XXXX, or use any of the mechanical buttons. On the seventh day, which will change depending on exactly when SCP-XXXX becomes active, SCP-XXXX will stop emitting the low frequency humming, and instead no sound will be heard in a 50 meter radius of SCP-XXXX. Anyone who comes into visual contact with SCP-XXXX at this time will perceive boxes full of tapes SCP-XXXX-C, all marked with “Dr. Millar”, and titled with different ████. Note that any observation of the room with installed cameras won’t trigger SCP-XXXX’s anomalous effects and will show the room as being normal, sound is still recorded normally, despite anyone within SCP-XXXX’s radius hearing nothing.(see: Test Log-XXXX-01 Test Log-XXXX-02 Test Log-XXXX-03 for further information on anomalous effects and list of recorded tapes.)

Placing any SCP-XXXX-C’s in SCP-XXXX will result in SCP-XXXX’s radius of anomalous affect to increase gradually, and a low humming noise will return but increase in frequency. The person who plays the tape will be unaware of SCP-XXXX’s increasing humming, and will instead only be able to audibly perceive the voice of “Dr. Millar” a middle aged man who supposedly works for the SCP foundation as a researcher. “Dr. Millar” will proceed to read off of what seems to be an ███ ███████████ █████████ ████████, although sometimes having details, explorations logs, expunged data, and description of ████ contradicting the foundations own documents. At first listening to the tapes produced by SCP-XXXX doesn’t appear to have any negative effects but after anywhere from twenty five to fifty minutes into listening the sound will become distorted before turning into an extremely high frequency humming.

All the tapes the listener perceived will disappear at this point, and SCP-XXXX-A occurs, The listener will turn to a state of mania before attempting to destroy SCP-XXXX at all physical cost, The guard assigned to SCP-XXXX should attempt to remove the affected individual within 5 minutes of SCP-XXXX-A occurring.

If the assigned guard cannot remove the subject inflicted with SCP-XXXX-A from SCP-XXXX’s radius in time the afflicted person will start to seizure before dying, presumably because of their brain hemorrhaging. After ten seconds the corpse of the person killed by SCP-XXXX-A will reanimate resulting in SCP-XXXX-B, SCP-XXXX-B will have the consciousness of “Dr.Millar” but speaks sporadically and is extremely aggressive, no matter how SCP-XXXX-B is approached it will respond by attempting to violently kill whatever approaches it. After multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-B were created during initial testing assigned researcher D.Andrews noted SCP-XXXX-B seems to retain knowledge through its host and since its first occurrence, has continuously attempted to break containment.

Researcher D.Andrews had requested to 05 council that SCP-XXXX be reclassified as Keter, his request was denied, but he has made SCP-XXXX-B top priority if containment is breached. The actual intellect of SCP-XXXX-B is unknown and the general accuracy of “Dr.Millars” reports show potential security risk to Site 11 and the SCP foundation, due to this MTF Psi-8 (“The Silencers”) are within response effective range of Site 11 at almost all times.

SCP-XXXX-B is capable of emitting its own anomalous field which mimics the effect of SCP-XXXX, and is capable of causing SCP-XXXX-A to occur outside of SCP-XXXX’s radius. SCP-XXXX-B’s radius of effect is only 10 meters and hasn’t been observed affecting subjects outside of SCP-XXXX’s containment area, but it is presumed multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-B can exist at any given time.

SCP-XXXX-B is capable of twisting it’s host body in impossible ways, breaking bones and tearing muscle to perform extreme feats of strength, speed, and agility, it can also change the chemical structuring of its host body allowing for for extreme durability. So far SCP-XXXX-B has been observed climbing on walls and ceilings by changing the host bones in large claw like structures, digging through 30 meters of concrete before destroying the host limbs, punching down a 425 lb solid steel door without suffering major damage, ripping off host flesh to use bones as weapons, beating a MTF member in hand to hand combat without physical restructuring, biting through an armored security personnel with its host ribcage, taking over three thousand rounds of continuous 7.62mm machine gun fire before the host expired, vertically leaping 90 meters, needing to have the 12 ton steel mechanical elevator dropped directly on top of it, being submerged in carborane acid for 2 hours, and being incinerated for 43 minutes. (see: Document-XXXX-01 for further information of containment breaches.)

Due to SCP-XXXX remaining dormant if one of it’s anomalous tapes aren’t played the 05 council has kept the classification at Euclid, the containment procedures above were created to minimize risk of SCP-XXXX-B containment breach. Test are carried out weekly due to SCP-XXXX occasionally creating a tape that contains an unknown ███ or information from █████ that have yet to happen.
