Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a locked safe in a windowless room. It may only be retrieved for research, during which the room stays closed until it is returned into the safe.

All personnel working on SCP-XXXX are to be divided into two teams. Both teams are to be amnestized every 4 weeks using Class-B amnestics, with a 2 week offset between the teams.

SCP-XXXX-File-B is stored on a System that is incapable of any connection to other digital systems. Everytime a research team is to be amnestized, it first reviews SCP-XXXX-File-B, completly cleanses the System and then rewrites SCP-XXXX-File-B.

Physicaly SCP-XXXX behaves like an non-anomalous {Object}. It's anomalous effects occur whenever concrete information about SCP-XXXX is {stored}. While the information itself remains intact, it will cause an "corruption" effect to data stored in the same system as itself. While this corruption spreads randomly¹, observation has shown that it spreads faster to locations that are {"close"}². Any data corrupted by SCP-XXXX is a potential {source} for this corruption, but doesn't cause corruption themselves and will not be corrupted again by SCP-XXXX.

Information corrupted by SCP-XXXX is turned into nonsensical³ information.

Medium	Effect
Human Brain	Initially will result in gradually expanding memory loss. Effect on other areas of the brain are at first negliable, but will eventually result in death after approx. 9 months - 60 years
Digital Storage	Will corrupt storage with uninterpretable data. Will eventually affect vital system, causing system to be unusable without maintanance. Can spread to other locations througout all data connections4.
Writen {Storage}	Will transform nearby letters aswell as blank spaces into random letters and symbols. Can spread to nearby medium conventionally used for writing. This Spread is faster if nearby medium is conceptionally connected to the source5.

The spread of the corruption is directly correlated by the depthness of knowledge about SCP-XXXX an subject has. It spreads slower in subjects with only superficial knowledge⁶ and vice versa.
