Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5001 is to be contained in it's room at all times. A strong magnetic field is
required for SCP-5001 to remain in it's cell (minimum tested magn. field strength - 10T).
Before entering SCP-5001's cell or surveillance room, make sure to leave all ferrous metals behind.
Special protective eyewear is to be worn every time a visual contact needs to be made with
the entity.
Description:
SCP-5001 is a flying saucer shaped toy. The entity was found in ███████ ██████████'s bedroom in 19██.
This entity seems to be able to travel in space with insane speeds (teleportation).
SCP-5001 can travel out of the room it is in, even if there are no openings for it to go through.
The only thing that can keep the object in it's room is a strong magnetic field.
Testing shows that SCP-5001 does not like human presence near it. It reacts to humans by emmiting a
very bright glow. The glow is so bright, it ████████████ ████ ████████ all human beings around it.
In some cases, the glow is less intense, but it still permanently blinds every test subject in it's cell.
Incident Reports:
Incident I-5001-a, ██/██/19██
During the first test, Dr. ██████ was observing the object through the surveillance room
window. SCP-5001 started glowing approximately 11 seconds after Dr. ██████'s arrival.
The glow was so intense, Dr. ██████ fell out of his chair in pain and crawled out of the surveillance room.
He was permanently blinded by the sudden flash.
Incident I-5001-b, ██/██/19██
D-Class ████ ███████ ██████ was the test subject for that day. Her eyes were covered with a light-proof
device, which was specifically made for testing with SCP-5001. When D-Class entered the room, SCP-5001 floated
down to be on one level with the eyes of the test subject, and started glowing. Upon entering the room with special
protective eyewear, Dr. ████████ found no signs of ████ ███████ ██████ in the room. The only thing which was left behind was
the light-proof eyewear device.
