The Transdimensional Bed Sheets
rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept fitted on a standard twin mattress set on a bed frame. The material, quality, or complexity of the mattress and bed frame does not matter; however, both must be replaced on a regular basis. The bed must also have one (1) to three (3) pillows set on it and be made on a weekly basis.

Description: SCP-XXXX takes the form of a set of standard twin-sized bed sheets. The sheets bear a pattern of pale orange stripes. When a subject sleeps between the fitted and loose sheets, dubbed SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 respectively, the subject is transported to a random location in spacetime or, on rare occasion, across realities (see Experiment XXXX-03). The transportation will only take effect once the subject goes to sleep, and only if the subject sleeps on the bed SCP-XXXX-1 is fitted to (see experiment XXXX-02).

The transportation is limited to the surface of the globe where land is present and the subject's own lifetime. The distance of the transportation directly corresponds to how long the subject was in contact with either sheet prior to sleeping. The subject will only be sent through time if the subject has been in contact with the sheets long enough to prompt transportation further than the surface area of the globe allows, and the same for dimensional travel if neither the surface area of the globe nor the subject's lifetime allows enough distance.

Experiment XXXX-01 - 8/8/20██

Subject: XXXX/01
Procedure: Subject laid in SCP-XXXX for two (2) hours before sleeping. Subject was instructed to document the precise end date and location before contacting the nearest facility.
Results: Subject returned to the facility twenty (20) years older with a note that read the following:
20/5/19██, ███████, IL

Experiment XXXX-02 - 13/11/20██

Subject: XXXX/02
Procedure: Subject was to lie in SCP-XXXX for ten (10) minutes before sleeping in a separate, normal bed.
Results: Subject awoke with no abnormalities occurring.
Analysis: The transportation only takes effect if the subject sleeps in SCP-XXXX, rather than just the next time the subject sleeps.

Experiment XXXX-03 - 30/5/20██

Subject: [DATA EXPUNGED]
Procedure: Subject kept SCP-XXXX-2 on their person for forty eight (48) hours before sleeping on SCP-XXXX.
Results: Subject was irrecoverably lost, leaving no sign of death.
Analysis: Subject was presumed lost to another reality, proving the transportation extended across realities. The experiment also proved that the warp only relies one of the two sheets for the distance needed.
