Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within the remains of Alternate Universe C16 (AU-C16). No access to AU-C16 is to be permitted and communication with SCP-XXXX-1 is not to be attempted. Site-61 has been constructed for the primary purpose of housing 2 Extra-Universal Isolators (EUIs)¹ to prevent SCP-XXXX's escape from AU-C16. At least one EUI is to be fully operating at any given time. Both EUIs are to be inspected daily and maintenance performed as necessary. AU-C16's state, as well as the state of all adjacent universes, is to be constantly monitored and any changes must be immediately reported to the Project Director.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a phenomenon responsible for the sequential destruction of alternate universes. In a universe subject to the effects of SCP-XXXX, the Humes level across the universe would gradually decrease over the course of 5-6 weeks until the universe suffered a ZK-Class Reality Failure event. Only a small pocket of the affected universe would remain² before vanishing entirely, usually within minutes and never longer than half an hour. The phenomenon would then move on to an adjacent universe. SCP-XXXX has destroyed ██ universes since discovery.

SCP-XXXX-1 is the source and cause of SCP-XXXX. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-1, analysis and study of this entity is extremely limited, and most information on SCP-XXXX-1 is exclusively from POI-XXXX³. SCP-XXXX-1 is a hispanic male appearing in its early to mid 30s, although its actual age is unknown. Researchers believe that SCP-XXXX-1's body contains, or is functioning as, a Humes vacuum⁴. Despite existing within an extremely high Humes level, SCP-XXXX-1 reportedly has not displayed standard reality-bending capabilities and by all outward appearances is non-anomalous, with its only easily observable effects being the SCP-XXXX phenomenon. SCP-XXXX-1 claims to have no control over SCP-XXXX.

In addition to SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 has two secondary effects. First, SCP-XXXX-1 possesses apparent immortality. Although SCP-XXXX-1 reports feeling pain from injuries, attempts to injure or kill SCP-XXXX-1 end in the wound flickering and fading away. Total destruction of SCP-XXXX-1's body, such as via incineration, results in SCP-XXXX-1 rematerializing by flickering into existence while the destroyed remains vanish. SCP-XXXX-1 has reportedly attempted suicide multiple times.

The second effect that SCP-XXXX-1 possesses is the ability to travel between universes. Unlike the rest of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties, this ability is reportedly under the control of SCP-XXXX-1. Due to a lack of testing, it is unknown whether this is possible only after a universe has fully undergone the effects of SCP-XXXX, or whether this can be done at any time. This ability can be inhibited by an EUI device.

Addendum XXXX-A: Discovery and Initial Containment

Forward: On ██/██/████, POI-XXXX suddenly materialized within Room ███ in the H Wing of Site-81 wearing a standard Foundation researcher uniform. POI-XXXX was promptly detained due to his anomalous origin and lacking Foundation ID. This interview was conducted 21 minutes after discovery of POI-XXXX. As the nature of POI-XXXX had not yet been established, no designation had been assigned, so POI-XXXX is referred to by its preferred name for the duration of the interview.

Closing Statement: After this interview, a Foundation researcher by the name of Michael Andrews was identified and located working in the G Wing of Site-81. POI-XXXX's appearance and DNA were found to be a perfect match to Researcher Andrews. Researcher Andrews has not been made aware of POI-XXXX. Despite POI-XXXX's anomalous origin and extreme similarities to an existing Foundation researcher, POI-XXXX was not found to be anomalous himself, and as such was classified as a Person of Interest rather than as an SCP.

A Humes vacuum is an anomaly which "absorbs" the Humes level of the surrounding area, resulting in a small point in space with an infinitely high Humes level while the area around it has an ever-decreasing Humes level. The area of effect of a Humes vacuum varies between anomalies, with SCP-XXXX-1's apparent area of effect being the entirety of whatever universe it resides in. There are no known ways to destroy a Humes vacuum; unlike black holes, Humes vacuums do not decay and are immune to reality failure.
