Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in sealed steel box at site 77. Weekly checkups should be executed.

Personnel are advised to avoid direct eye contact with SCP-XXXX.

Recording devices are not allowed inside the cell, and surveillance monitors must be deactivated when SCP-XXXX is brought out of its box

If one makes eye contact directly with SCP-XXXX,except through still photograph, they will be sedated and contained with SCP-XXXX in the same room for 3 hours.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a rusted caltrop with 10 centimeter long spikes. Only one of SCP-XXXX's spikes is sharp, and it will always be pointed upwards. SCP-XXXX will naturally orientate itself into this position, even after physically manipulated or rotated.

Should SCP-XXXX be viewed directly or through video footage SCP-XXXX will start following the victim. At first, when eye contact is made, SCP-XXXX would appear still. When the victim wants to make a step, SCP-XXXX is gone from its original state and appears in front of victims legs, right where they wanted to step.
Stepping on the object can be avoided by stepping around it while looking at it, but will move once again when another step would be made. Should a victim step on SCP-XXXX, they will be wounded as naturally, but will not experience pain from the puncture.

If two or more make an eye contact, the object will go after the one who makes a step sooner.

If the victim doesn't make a step the object for approximately 3 hours, SCP-XXXX will return to its original position before the eye contact was made.
