Current instance of SCP-XXXX-A
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Threat Level: Yellow ●
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard Safe Class locker in Site-19. Any access to SCP-XXXX must be approved by Level 3 personnel. For all non-experiment based physical contact with SCP-XXXX, personnel are required to wear neoprene gloves and avoid skin contact of any kind. To prevent containment breaches, experiments involving SCP-XXXX must be conducted with a body-weight scale in the testing chamber. In the event of a containment breach involving an instance of SCP-XXXX-B, the subject is to be held in confinement until a body-weight scale is brought in close proximity to them. The subject will be force-fed any available food (excluding human), which will cause SCP-XXXX to relocate to the aforementioned scale. Traumatized subjects may be administered Class-A amnestics if requested.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an intangible cognitohazard that resides in either a single body-weight scale or a single person at a given time. A scale presently hosting SCP-XXXX will be classified as SCP-XXXX-A, while a human presently hosting SCP-XXXX will be classified as SCP-XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX transfers between these possible hosts and can only remain in one at a time, making it relatively easy to contain. However, a body-weight scale hosting SCP-XXXX does not change in any observable way, making it very difficult to know whether or not a scale is an instance of SCP-XXXX-A. The scale will remain as the host of SCP-XXXX until an able-bodied person makes direct skin contact with SCP-XXXX-A. When this occurs, the person will immediately become an instance of SCP-XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX will continue to affect SCP-XXXX-B until that person dies, is permanently incapacitated, or eats anything that is not human meat (See Experiment Log XXXX-A). If this happens, SCP-XXXX will relocate to the nearest body-weight scale in proximity to SCP-XXXX-B.
Upon becoming SCP-XXXX-B, subjects will feel compelled to weigh themselves on the scale. If SCP-XXXX-B successfully learns of their weight, they will begin experiencing high levels of stress as a result of obsessive body dysmorphia. Regardless of their BMI, they will consider themselves morbidly underweight and begin to seek food.
Additionally, SCP-XXXX-B's perception of their surroundings is altered. Key changes include:
- All non-human organisms cannot be perceived by them.
- All potential food not prepared by SCP-XXXX-B cannot be perceived by them (excluding humans).
- All humans are perceived as various farm animals to them.
Believing them to be livestock, SCP-XXXX-B will attempt to kill and eat any humans they come across. If successful, SCP-XXXX-B will then "prepare" any collected meat by utilizing available culinary appliances and utensils. No food is ever actually cooked, however, as they will merely mime the actions needed to apply heat. If there are no appliances or utensils available, SCP-XXXX-B will perceive nonexistent ones and use them. Instances of SCP-XXXX-B that live to approximately ten days will die of thirst due to a lack of desire to drink water. In addition, regardless of how much they eat, instances ofSCP-XXXX-B will become increasingly desperate for food as well as malnourished. Autopsies conclude that nothing consumed by instances of SCP-XXXX-B actually enter the digestive system. Swallowed meat seemingly disappears at some point during consumption, unbeknownst to SCP-XXXX-B. Attempts to observe the digestive process of a live SCP-XXXX-B in any way result in SCP-XXXX relocating to the nearest body-weight scale.

SCP-XXXX attacking during initial observation
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in an 8m x 8m x 3m concrete box that is 60cm thick, and the interior walls of this box are to be coated in a layer of mattifying black paint. Unless removed for purposes strictly pertaining to experiments, it is to remain in this box. A singular flush-mount ceiling fixture twenty-five 25cm in diameter is to be centered on the interior ceiling of the box, and a singular 1.4W dimmable red LED lightbulb is to be installed into this fixture. This light is to be adjusted to different degrees of illumination depending on the time of day or in the case of certain procedures as listed below, but never turned off.
The standard schedule for the light in SCP-XXXX's chamber is to match what would be appropriate for a human's typical circadian rhythm as to not deprive the creature of energy. It sleeps with a pattern akin to humans, and tampering with this lighting schedule causes irregularity in its behavior and appetite.
05:00: 10 lumens
07:00: 20 lumens
12:00: 35 lumens (maximum)
18:00: 35 lumens (maximum)
20:00: 15 lumens
24:00: 10 lumens
(repeat)
All differences in illumination between times of day are to be gradually dimmed or brightened overtime, not suddenly. Times where the light will be changed faster will occur, and are listed as such:
Every 8 hours, SCP-XXXX is to be given 0.5 kg of cooked meat.
Every 5 days, SCP-XXXX's cell is to be cleaned.
Every 1 year, SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is to be repainted with mattifying black paint.
Every 2 years, the lightbulb in SCP-XXXX's cell is to be replaced.
When these tasks are to be carried out, the light is to be dimmed to the minimum possible of 5 lumens over the course of 5 minutes before any persons may enter. Once all person have left, the lamp is returned to the brightness it was previously at over the course of another 5 minutes.
Between the concrete box containing SCP-XXXX and the entrance to the containment cell, there is to be a 5m x 1m x 3m concrete corridor whose interior is coated with an identical coat of the black paint previously described in this document. Both the entrance to the corridor and the box containing SCP-XXXX are to be sealed by a steel door of standard dimensions, as well as coated in the same black paint. When any authorized individuals are to enter SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, they must adorn entirely black clothing before entering the corridor, closing the door, and then entering the chamber.
In the event of a containment breach, all lighting fixtures or illuminating objects of any kind are to be turned off in the vicinity occupied by SCP-XXXX until it has been safely re-contained. A controlled electromagnetic pulse (EMP) is highly recommended in order to pacify SCP-XXXX as soon as possible; but if an EMP is impossible, all personnel are required to immediately turn off any lights they can. It is of a much higher priority than evacuation, as the illumination of most lights in the Foundation would guarantee SCP-XXXX the ability to breach further into the facility.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 187cm tall humanoid of a dark brown complexion. The only visual differences between SCP-XXXX and an average male adult human of its height are the lack of a nose, a mouth, eyebrows, eyelashes, genitals, areola, nipples, a navel, and any hair whatsoever. It has two perfectly spherical black eyes approximately 15mm in diameter, located where a human's typically are. Unlike a human skull, there seems to be no orbits holding the eyes. They do, however, reflect light similar to the tapetum lucidum present in some animals, leading many to believe it has night-vision capabilities.
SCP-XXXX appears to require light in order to function at all. Even though SCP-XXXX consumes food as a source of energy, it is shown to only be able to expel this energy once in the presence of light. The strength, speed, and overall dexterity of SCP-XXXX is directly affected by how much light is emitted on or around it. Its levels of aggression are also directly tied to its contact with light, acting with extreme violence in any amount of brightness that allows it to run. Speeds as fast as ██ km/h were recorded when SCP-XXXX was in direct contact with mid-day sunlight. When in extremely low levels of light, SCP-XXXX acts with virtually no aggression. It is worth noting that no sort of noise or change of expression (even in its most aggressive state) has been documented from SCP-XXXX.
When completely starved of any light at all, SCP-XXXX's vital signs cease until light is returned in some form. It is unknown if continuous starvation of all light would kill SCP-XXXX. It is also unknown as to how or why light influences SCP-XXXX's mobility. Covering its eyes entirely does not affect its movement - aside from blinding it. Even when blinded, however, SCP-XXXX is still aware of when it is being observed and can locate where the observer is. This leads some to believe it [DATA EXPUNGED], but it has not been proven. For further reference, see Experiment Log XXXX.
Additionally, the method in which SCP-XXXX uses to eat without the presence of any orifices or areas where orifices may open is unknown, as it will only eat when it is not watched. It is strictly carnivorous and seems to attack only for food and privacy, as the creature will not seek out prey unless it is hungry or being visually monitored. In the presence of enough light, it will attempt to gouge out the eyes of all living creatures viewing it before doing anything else. Even if SCP-XXXX is starved for an extended period time and is in the presence of consumable meat, it will actively try to seek out and destroy whatever can see it first. If it is impossible for SCP-XXXX to reach what is watching it, it will try to obscure whatever line of sight a creature has on it. If it cannot do this, it attempts to take its food and flee until it is no longer visible.
Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was recovered after the Palestinian government reported a naked, featureless creature attacking locals in Gaza on ██/██/████. Israeli SWAT teams attempted to incapacitate SCP-XXXX, but were unsuccessful and [DATA EXPUNGED] until Mobile Task Force Pi-1 was able to arrive and capture it after ███ hours. It was then brought back to the facility and has remained in containment since. The following clip was recorded by Raed █████, an Israeli officer killed during the attack. In it, SCP-XXXX can be shown chasing law enforcement and gaining speed when the taillights of the car flash.

Incident XXXX-A
During a containment breach on 02/██/████, SCP-XXXX killed all ██ Foundation staff in the 5 areas it breached - except for one. Foundation personnel D-9070 remained entirely unharmed despite being in the immediate vicinity of a hostile SCP-XXXX. It is believed that this happened because D-9070 lost both of her eyes after a previous encounter with SCP-[REDACTED]. Experimentation regarding SCP-XXXX and blind organisms is requested.
The following is a log of experiments conducted around SCP-XXXX

Experiment Log XXXX-A
Date: ██/██/████
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was transported to Test Chamber █-██ which contained a single dimmable flood light. After the light was dimmed as low as it could be, a pair of blacked-out goggles were placed over SCP-XXXX's eyes. Once all personnel exited the test chamber, the flood light was brightened to 800 lumens.
Results: Despite not being able to observe that the brightness of the room increased, SCP-XXXX's mobility increased at the same rate normally observed. After five minutes of blinded movement, the test was concluded and SCP-XXXX was returned to its containment chamber.
Notes: It is known that SCP-XXXX was not able to observe the change in brightness, as it was obviously blinded and ran into the walls of the test chamber multiple times. It should also be noted that SCP-XXXX made no attempt to take off the goggles. Further testing related to SCP-XXXX in a blinded state is requested.
Experiment Log XXXX-B
Date: ██/██/████
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was transported to Test Chamber █-██ which contained a single dimmable flood light and a security camera in the southeast corner of the ceiling. After the light was dimmed as low as it could be, a pair of blacked-out goggles were placed over SCP-XXXX's eyes and 1 lb. of raw meat was placed on the ground. Once all personnel exited the test chamber, the flood light was brightened to 800 lumens.
Results: Despite SCP-XXXX not being able to observe that a camera was watching it, it immediately ran toward the southeast corner of the room and clawed upward at the ceiling. After 8 minutes of continuously attempting to reach the security camera, personnel turned off the video feed to the device. Once 2 minutes had passed, the test was concluded and SCP-XXXX was returned to its containment chamber. In the 2 minutes where visual surveillance was removed, SCP-XXXX consumed all of the meat that was placed in the testing chamber.
Notes: "If it knows where the camera is, why didn't it know where the walls were in the first test? Does it need to see, or not?" - Dr. █. ██████
Experiment Log XXXX-C
Date: ██/██/████
Foreword: This experiment came about as a result of Incident XXXX-A. To refer to this incident, scroll to the bottom of SCP-XXXX's page.
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was transported to Test Chamber █-██ which contained a single dimmable flood light. After the light was dimmed as low as it could be, D-████ - a blind man - was told to enter the test chamber. Once the chamber was sealed, the lights were brightened to 800 lumens.
Results: SCP-XXXX immediately attacked D-████, pulling his non-functioning eyes out of his head before eating him alive. The test was swiftly ended and SCP-XXXX was returned to its containment chamber.
Notes: Dr. █. ██████ states that it could be possible that SCP-XXXX spared D-9070 during Incident-XXXX-A not because she is blind, but because she has no eyes at all. Experimentation regarding SCP-XXXX's behavior towards eyeless organisms is requested.
Experiment Log XXXX-D
Date: ██/██/████
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was transported to Test Chamber █-██ which contained a single dimmable flood light. After the light was dimmed as low as it could be, two wolf spiders of different genus were placed in the chamber. One, a Sosippus floridanus, is a common member of the Lycosidae family known for its impeccable eyesight. The other, an Adelocosa anops (colloquially known as the Kauaʻi cave wolf spider), is an endangered genus of Lycosidae that have evolved in such a way to where they no longer develop eyes. Once the chamber was sealed, the lights were brightened to 800 lumens.
Results: SCP-XXXX immediately attacked the first wolf spider, removing its eyes and eating the creature. After 7 minutes of silence, the lights were dimmed and personnel entered the testing chamber to find the Kauaʻi cave wolf spider entirely unharmed. The test was concluded and SCP-XXXX was returned to its containment chamber.
Notes: "If it refuses to attack or eat eyeless things, we can observe how it interacts with them. Once D-9070 has recovered from the trauma associated with Incident XXXX-A, I'm requesting she meet with Eyevan the Terrible here for experimentation." - Dr. █. ██████
