Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-4896 is to be contained in an airtight steel locker inside a 5m by 10m room with airtight 5cm steel doors with secure ventilation incorporated with {REDACTED}. One personnel are to enter at a time. When in contact with the Item, the personnel must wear a {REDACTED} over their face. All doors must be sealed from the outside when SCP-4896 is in contact with personnel inside.
Once personnel has left the containment room they be inspected for {REDACTED} in their respiratory and sensory systems. Any personnel identified with {REDACTED} in their respiratory and sensory systems are
to be {REDACTED} as soon as possible.
If an SCP-4896-A is created 2 security personnel with {REDACTED} over their face are to enter SCP-4896's containment room and extract SCP-4896-A to {REDACTED}
If an SCP-4896-B is created the containment room of SCP-4896 is to be drained of all oxygen. Once oxygen has been drained, 2 security personnel with {REDACTED} over their face are to enter the containment room of SCP-4896. Then SCP-4896-B will be extracted and brought to {REDACTED} for {Redacted}
Description: SCP-4896 resembles a 66cm x 35cm burlap sack. A red stain, of unknown origin, is located 43cms down from the top of SCP-4896.
SCP-4896 has a lingering odor similar to {DATA EXPUNGED} the odor's source is most likely the unknown red stain on SCP-4896. When personnel comes into contact with SCP-4896 without the {REDACTED} over their face for longer than 2 minutes, they will be affected by a variety of hallucinations, which will result in the personnel going into a catatonic state after 13 minutes, becoming an SCP-4896-A. If the person has not collapsed into a catatonic state by the expected 13 minutes they will go into a hostile state, where they become SCP-4896-B, they will attempt to breach the containment.

All SCP-4896-A recall a series of hallucinations before entering a catatonic state, the hallucinations include a series of vivid images of a gallows.
Additional-0.2: Discovery
SCP-4896 was recovered from an antique flea market from {REDACTED} in England, Yorkshire, {REDACTED} by a relative of Dr. {REDACTED} in 1988. SCP-4896 was initially contained in a wooden airtight trunk of unknown origin.
