Special Containment Procedures: SCP-???? has no known way of being contained, as it has the ability to travel between worlds, universes, and dimensions. The same cannot be said for SCP-????-1 or SCP-????-1-a, both of which can be accessed by all level-2 and above Researchers with permission from a Site Manager. in the event of SCP-???? appearance, the closest site must send the highest level researchers available and 2 - 5 MTF Squadrons.
note: more than 80 witnesses have seen SCP-????. This SCP is Intelligent, having stayed clear of most people that come across its area and also using the environment to its advantage. this is not, however, completely confirmed, so caution must be taken if, or when, this SCP arrives.
Description: SCP-???? is a Large, Scaled, Reptilian creature, much like a lizard and/or crocodile, with the difference being large, scaled wings similar to those of bats or prehistoric pterosaurs. SCP-???? has been seen multiple times, spaced from 5 to ████ years apart. SCP-???? has had not been sighted since 19██, for unknown reasons. many Scientists and Theorists at the SCP Foundation have thought of why this could be; most notably Dr. █████, who, with many supporters, suggests that Global Warming is the cause, since the years that separate when this SCP have been seen have been slowly growing. this, however, does not have much ground, as the SCP, from all recorded sightings, has not been known to prefer one environment or one heat. SCP-???? has been known as and described as a "Dragon", as from many sightings from countries around the world (there have been other names, e.g, Taniwha, from New Zealand). the "Great Dragon" has the ability to travel between worlds, universes, and (not completely proven yet) dimensions, as well as having the ability to change its size and shape. The foundation does not yet know whether all of these sightings have been this SCP, but most other "dragon-like" SCPs have recorded times of sightings.
Addendum: The SCP Foundation has possession of a 34.3 centimeter tall, 27 wide, 5.5 thick scale, thought to be from SCP-????'s lower calf, kept in a suspended frame in a secure facility. this Scale was found in ████████, ███████ and is referred to as SCP-????-1. a 15-cm chip was taken (with some difficulty) from the side of the Scale, and sent through SCP-914, the "Upgrade machine" as referred to by Class D personnel and some scientists. the SCP was set to "Fine", and the result was a 6" stone-textured knife, able to cut through many things a normal knife wouldn't, like chains. This knife will be referred to as SCP-????-1-a and is to be kept in a locked drawer in the storage unit of site-██

Foreword: Interview of Jaxon Reed, the "Dragon Mage". He claims to be part of a cult that worships the "Great Dragon", SCP-????.

Steel: So Jaxon, what can you tell me about this SCP?
Reed: It is an Extradimensional being, yeah, but there are loads of things that this place hasn't found out about the dragon.
Steel: And what would this information that we have not acquired yet be?
Reed: I can't tell you. Father would kill me, and that's not a Metaphor.
Steel: well, in that case, could you tell me about this "Father" figure you've just mentioned? I'm guessing that he's not your biological father.
Reed: You'd be right with that guess, he's the leader of our group at the moment.
Steel: And by saying "at the moment" you are implying that this group has had more than one leader?
Reed: Yeah. the group, by what I've been told, has been around since the first "sighting" of the Dragon, back in the █th century.
Steel: Interesting. now tell me, why did you join this group?
Reed: Well, my dad joined when he was in his 30's, and he met my mother when she was at one of our Churches. I guess i was kinda born into it. The Dragon has always piqued my interest, and my father has always said that I would be the one to see the dragon. maybe me coming here will have something to do with that coming true.
Steel: Do you believe in prophecies?
Reed: Well, the Dragon is real. the things in this foundation are real. if anything a few prophecies aren't very far-fetched when you see what's in here.
Steel: What would you say that the things you've had the privilege to see in here are?
Reed: For one thing, I wouldn't call it a privilege, and for the other, they're definitely not normal.
Steel: Well, I think that we've gotten enough. thank you for taking the time to tell us this, and let's hope you forget about it all, eh?

Closing Statement: it appears that this… cult, that Reed is a part of has been around since the first sighting of SCP-????. it is impressive that the group has survived to this day.
overall, Reed's cult has some important information on the Dragon, some that we may need to acquire. this has been an enlightening interview.
EVENT: Great Dragon Appearance

LOCATION: Between Austin and Eureka, NEV, USA.
FOUNDATION POV:
19:12: The SCP, ????, has arrived back into our world. it is in between Austin and… Eureka, right now. I am here to document the events, so, here we go.19:23: The, uh, the dragon is currently laying down on top of the… US-50 highway at the moment. 3 armed squadrons of MTF and four each of our best scientists and Lawyers, plus a couple of D-class personnel, have been sent to the area from site, um, ██.
19:29: our team has reached the destination and has stopped their vehicles. they're walking to the dragon's head. oh, the thing itself is roughly 3.6 miles long. I know, crazy stuff.
19:36: they've been shouting at it and poking it for ages and thought it didn't hear them, but then it woke up. it's talking. TALKING. this is crazy.
19:41: the thing has been talking, well, mumbling, for ages now, and all I can hear on the radio is breathing and the faint drone of its voice. our team seems entranced, which is worrying. I hate it when we deal with SCPs like that.
19:46: apparently the team wasn't entranced, but just fascinated. they were writing down what the dragon was saying since it seemed to have been talking about its own history and the history of the world. it seems to think that it's older than time itself, but I think that's quite unlikely.
20:18: the thing has been droning on for ages now. apparently, a, uh, group has arrived in the area, which is extremely weird, cause the area is "under construction" officially.
20:20: the group has identified itself as the cult that worships the dragon, led by our interviewed, Jaxon Reed. I'm glad he had his memory wiped, or, well, amnesticized, or else he would recognize us immediately. they- wait, wait what's… what the hell just happened? where did the satellite cameras go? come in, team Alpha, come in!

Pearce: Shit, shit! we've lost contact to base.
Anderson: calm down, we've got this.
Reed: Hello Gentlemen- and ladies, I've come here with my gang to fulfill a prophecy.
Anderson: We know what you're here for, Jaxon Reed. move your ass outta here or you'll wish you were never born!
Reed: how-how did you know my name? do you know me? - wait… of course you do. you're from the foundation.
Pearce: You had your memory wiped! how do you remember?
Reed: yes, a memory wipe is what I guessed. I couldn't remember what had happened in my time away when my friends here asked, so they helped me remember, though we couldn't end up with much.
Scientist: Amnestic is hard to remove, I'm surprised you were able to remember anything at all.
Reed: well we have some… interesting, but effective, techniques.
Pearce: well anyway, get outta here. we have too much on our plate for you to show up.
Reed: yeah, I think we'd all noticed the giant dragon by now. that's why we're here. I was born for this moment, so don't push me away from it.
Scientist: uh.. speaking of the dragon, I think he's noticed us.
Reed: Good, good! I would like to question him.
Dragon: Ah, my followers, you took longer than last time.
Reed: oh shiiit…
Reed: Hello, Great Dragon! you have taken long, but we have waited for your return.
Dragon: It was mere hours for me but I presume that it took much, much longer here.
Reed: yes, more than a century since your last appearance! what has brought you here now?
Dragon: I came here for- [continued talking]
Davis: what's going on here? we noticed the thing was talking to someone so we came round.
Reed: oh come on, why more people? I was extra professional for this. please don't take us away we just want to witness this.
