nnItem #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to reside in a 10 m x 10 m x 10 m steel chamber, with observation rooms being elevated high enough to prevent possible damage caused by SCP-XXXX. Damage to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is to be reported and repaired as soon as possible.

Entrance into SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is done via a piston-mechanized vestibule operating similarly to an airlock. Pulling the double-throw switch located in the observation room of the containment chamber into its upward configuration will unlock and open the inner door (the door closer to the SCP), while simultaneously engaging the outer door. It is impossible to have both doors of the vestibule open simultaneously.1 Located to the right of the switch, there is an emergency button which will shut and lock both doors, while a compartment containing biotic matter inside the containment chamber will open up, exposing the life to the SCP and ensuring as a distraction while containment teams ensure safety of proximate on-site staff. This button should be activated before imminent containment breach. Compartment should be replaced with new biotic matter no more than every 2 days. Use of SCP-████ for its long-lasting, no-resource survival is permitted, and as such the compartment should be replaced no more than every 6 [REDACTED].

Entrance to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber for testing or otherwise must require approval of Head Researcher Dr. █████████, and operation of the entrance switch requires Level 3 access.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1.8 metre tall metal sculpture of a humanoid Testing has revealed that SCP-XXXX is composed of 100% platinum, and is not hollow on the inside. No Foundation instruments indicate anything other than platinum beneath the surface. Appearance is devoid of any facial features, its face only consisting of a protrusion appearing to be a nose and subtle depressions on the lateral anterior of the head, indicating orbits. SCP-XXXX appears to be remarkably smooth, rounded, and contains little detail. The arms are fully, unnaturally extended at it's side, and appear to be fused to the sides of SCP-XXXX, as indicated from slopes starting from the surface of the arm to the side of the statue. The same is true for the legs of the SCP. The entire sculpture is made from the same platinum component, as appearance clearly indicates that whatever has produced SCP-XXXX only removed material from the previous mass of the sculpture, and there are no indications of the producer adding any material to the SCP.

SCP-XXXX levitates 10 cm above the ground, and is capable of rapid locomotion. SCP-XXXX has been observed to move at a speed of 120 mph in 0.78 seconds, though it is theorized that SCP-XXXX may be capable of moving faster. The method by which SCP-XXXX moves, levitates, or stops immediately afterward, is unknown. SCP-XXXX idly moves erratically, jerking forward in random directions, then halting and moving backwards in another direction, repeatedly. This only occurs when SCP-XXXX is exposed to a new environment clear of any fauna or flora, and will eventually stop moving entirely after a certain number of hours. This is followed by SCP-XXXX apparently ceasing all levitation, and floating onto the surface it is stood upon. Even so, measurements indicates minute space between SCP-XXXX and the surface under it, still suggesting levitation.

The moment that SCP-XXXX is exposed to a living creature, it will instantly gain a supersonic vector directly towards the subject and collide with it. This will instantly and messily liquidate the subject, often turning it's insides into a thin mist. Escape from SCP-XXXX during exposure is impossible, and as a result of its sudden, exorbitant velocity, no individual or creature exposed to SCP-XXXX has ever escaped successfully. After collision and subsequent annihilation of the subject, SCP-XXXX will, in almost no amount of time, lose all forward acceleration and recoil before coming to a complete stop. SCP-XXXX is able to detect subjects up to 200 metres away, even when subjects are not directly observable, i.e. Hidden behind a series of walls, see event log [] for more detail. As long as there is a tenable path from SCP-XXXX to the subject, it will, 100% of the time, successfully destroy the subject. Through some method, SCP-XXXX instantly determines and follows the shortest path to the subject before making collision.
