Object class: Euclid

Special containment procedure: [object] is to be suspended in a mirror-coated electromagnetic vacuum chamber of not more than 0.81 Tesla. All air must be evacuated from the containment chamber (maximum safe pressure 443 nanopascal).

A viewing port may be installed, however the surface area of said viewing port may not exceed 4.27 percent of the chamber’s total internal surface area. Failure to provide [object] with sufficient reflective surroundings will result in [object] partially decaying, triggering a local temporodimenional phase shift, causing the flow of time to manifest itself physically as a fourth spatial dimension. Closed timeline curves may form as a result, and the resulting system must be isolated from all outside influences.

Description: [object] is an anomalous distortion in spacetime, measuring approximately 220 mm in size. To the human eye, it appears as a hypercube-like structure which refracts visible light at a refractory index of exactly 26,267. It therefore possesses either immense density, which is extremely unlikely due to measurements indicating [object] has zero mass, or an immense gravitational field. The latter appears to be the most plausible, as a probe inserted into [object] sent its entire data stream in reverse. [object] can therefore interact with normal matter, and several experiments have been conducted to test [object]’s effect on common objects.

Test A - June 8, 8:44 a.m.

Subject: temporodimensional probe
Procedure: Probe was slowly inserted into [object] on a titanium rod, then withdrawn for data retrieval
Results: upon contact with the outer surface of [object], probe immediately detected time dilation of factor 0.0001. As probe neared the center, time dilation continuously rose. At 23 mm from the center, the dilation factor passed 0 and continued to drop into the negative. This caused probe to stop before reaching the center, and subsequently reverse direction. Probe was moving outwards while inward force was being applied to titanium rod. This continued for roughly 2 hours before an engineer passing by suggested pulling the rod. When rod was pulled, the probe began moving towards [object]’s center once again. Upon reaching the exact center of [object], probe completely ceased all functionality and almost immediately it began to decay through proton instability.
Analysis: [object] possesses a local gravitational field so strong that space inside it is negatively curved, resulting in time traveling backwards
