Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is housed in a 5 m by 5 m by 5 m lead room approximately 3 meters thick that was custom built around it due to its nature. Though initially basic readings were capable, due to the artifacts nature electronic monitoring is not possible and therefore all monitoring must be done in person which has led to the addition of viewing ports being placed into the room as well as a facility being built around SCP-xxxx.
Description: SCP-xxxx is a roughly Hammer shaped artifact approximately 46 cm in length with a head about 24 centimeters in length, 13 centimeters wide, and the head ranges from approximately 13 cm at its ends to 20 cm in the center for height.
the artifact appears to be made out of a singular piece of unknown metal with a rough leather grip towards the bottom of the shaft that is also connected to a loop.
The head of the artifact is decorated with runic symbols that appear to bear a slight resemblance to what is known as the elder futhark.
Despite its rather innocuous size attempts to move xxxx have been unsuccessful. it is not known whether the nature of the artifact is to not be movable or it is just incredibly heavy. The artifact was also found to give off varying levels of both alpha and electromagnetic radiation.
Tests:
Test 1: Former SCP worker [idk how to do the black boxes for redacted info], hereby refered to as DB-001, attempts to move the object by hand. Attempts are unsuccessful. DB-001 later reported extreme nausea and dizziness, moved to medical sight [redacted]
Test 2: DB-002 is ordered to move object by hand. This is an attempt to see if xxxx caused DB-001's symptoms. DB-002 fails as well, suffers no I'll effects. Experiment repeated with DB-003 through 009. Effects varied from no change to severe nausea and dizziness. No other effects noted until DB-010. Subject was killed due to a shock from xxxx that stopped the heart. No further human testing will be attempted.
Test 3: machinery movement tests. Varying forms of machinery were brought in and used in an attempt to move the object. None succeeded.
Addendum:
1: due to the inability to move the object or Garner any further information tests are currently suspended. SCP-XXXX will be monitored 24/7 by personnel who will usevarying equipment to monitor the alpha and electromagnetic radiation as well as an attempt to discover any other information. Funding for regular replacement of measurement devices to be given as the artifact appears to have a strange effect on electronics over time.
2: DB- 001, 004, 007 and 009 eventually did recover but further investigation into the individuals found that all of them were involved in either unlawful or immoral activities ranging from larceny to manufacturing of illegal substances. DB-010 was later found to have been incarcerated for intentional manslaughter. Unsure if the situations are related to the effects that SCP- Xxxx
Had upon the individuals. Also recommending better screening for SCP volunteers and personnel.
