Project "Master Plan"
The Master Plan Project refers to Site M, also commonly known as the "Master Ark". This project was first conceived and subsequently approved by 05 in 22XX after Researcher [REDACTED] first pitched the idea to 05 with their 3 close colleagues. The idea was to create a large space station near the moon that could simulate containment breaches, both in SCPs and D-Class personnel in an attempt to find weaknesses in SCP Foundation sites and eliminate them, increasing the security of the effected sites and the Foundation in general. Researchers would use common structure prefabs to create a SCP containment facility on an easy to use digital editor, and be able to test them with live D-Class and SCPs within the ship's core, a large square area that used complex machinery to put together these facilities with blocks reserved in a separate part of the ship for the most accurate possible assessment of weaknesses in SCP Foundation sites.
The idea was originally denied by all but one member of 05 until the 4 researchers revealed blueprints for 4 extremely complicated and technologically advanced "tools", in their own words. These tools would be able to safely and secretly allow the ship to run these tests with all the necessary subjects within mere seconds. 05 reportedly went into private chat to discuss the idea before approximately 12 minutes later, coming back to move forward with the project under two conditions, that the 4 researchers could put together working prototypes of these 4 machines and assemble a team of at least 15 within the time span of 3 years. The researchers accepted the terms and left with a reported budget of 15 [REDACTED].
2 years and 8 months later in 22XX, the researchers returned with a team of 18, and functional prototypes of all four machines, as well as improved blueprints and a new blueprint for the design of the space station, and other relevant information, such as its orbit course around the moon and how it would be powered. 05 took an extra 3 weeks before giving the researchers clearance to begin construction of the space station with a new budget of 800 [REDACTED] and a large workforce pulled from the building of another site in [REDACTED]. Along with this, 05 gave each member of the team code names, and ordered the complete omitting of any and all details in SCP documents relating to them, effectively rendering them having never worked with the SCP Foundation before. Each member was given a designation beginning with the letter M, and numbers following the M cycling through 1 to 18. The Researcher that originally pitched the idea was given 75% creative freedom over the project and received the designation "Mastermind", the only name designation that has been cleared for this document, the other 17 withheld by 05 as of [REDACTED]. The project was officially given the designation "Project Master Plan".
Over the next 2X years, the space station was under construction. During this time, M-12 passed away to lung disease, and was promptly replaced by Researcher A[REDACTED], with the same procedure carried out on their past as the rest of M. In 23XX, the station was completed, and successfully launched 2 months later to the beginning of its course around the Moon. 4 months after that, the station began operation with over [REDACTED] researchers creating and testing.
The station was presented to the public as the "NASA MAS", or Meteor Analysis Satellite, a satellite built with the intention of detecting and eliminating large meteors that would collide with earth if left unattended. So far, this cover appears to have worked in approximately [REDACTED]% of Earth's population, according to surveillance from online chats, phone calls and tapped conversations between certain individuals who will not be disclosed here.
The following is a general description of the 4 tool's functions, and how they would contribute to Project Master Plan.
M-T-1 "SUCP" or "SUper Containment Procedures"
This tool was in charge of maintaining safety in the ship through the employment of many Special Containment Procedures derived from several undisclosed Keter SCPs.
M-T-2 "AT" or "Alternate Timeline"
This tool was originally supposed to apply the effects of SCP-[REDACTED] until 05 intervened and showed the 4 main members of M [REDACTED]. With this new enabler, the tool could work without the assistance of SCP-[REDACTED]. It is capable of reversing time, albeit through an extremely limited frame, in order to allow for D-Class personnel to retry should they be terminated by any means. While this may seem contradictory to the purpose of the Master Plan, data shows a higher net gain of security weaknesses through repeated reruns of the same situation.
M-T-3 "AF" or "Anomaly Fetcher"
This tool was in charge of transporting D-Class, SCPs and other Personnel from Earth to the Ship, via teleportation. This tool's technology had been derived from project [REDACTED], first founded in 21XX, however the project was cancelled after the lead of the project was killed in an accident with a prototype of the project that was believed to have been accidentally switched on by an SCP's anomalous effects from a nearby containment facility. Since they were the mind that created the main part of the project, it was unable to continue. "Mastermind", however, reportedly understood the blueprints of the technology within about 5 minutes after having gone over it for an investigation into the project's possible association with the Chaos Insurgency, during which time "Mastermind" worked under the foundation as a [DATA EXPUNGED].
M-T-4 "ES" or "Energy Spawner"
The job of ES was to provide the ship with the energy needed to function correctly. ES was reportedly able to accomplish an energy output of over 460% over what was required for the ship to function correctly. The exact details of how ES worked are currently withheld by 05. Requests by Researchers to receive prototypes of this machine for use in containment of SCPs that have anomalous effects that obstruct the ability to use powered containment mechanisms to contain them effectively have been denied by 05.
The Master Ark
The ship is built out of mostly Titanium, with the usage of a couple other materials/substances, that have been omitted from this document, to provide heat insulation, Oxygen (Reportedly straight from the material, not to contain it), and realism in the tests performed in the Master Ark.
INCIDENT-MX REPORT
On [REDACTED], 23XX, "Mastermind" and the other members of M were taken into Foundation custody after a researcher reported an undisclosed machine within the top sector of the Master Ark to 05. "Mastermind" was confronted by 05, in which he disclosed that the fifth machine in the Master Ark was known to them as the "JOI" "Joy Of Imagination", a tool which he claimed "Harnessed the raw joy he expressed from watching D-Class attempt the creations of the Researchers working in the Master Ark, particularly when the D-Class were terminated by a SCP in gruesome manner" ("Mastermind"s exact statement was different from what is recorded in this document, however the decision was made by 05 to reword his statements, as the subject was particularly vague, uncooperative and seemingly exhausted to near collapse at the time of the statements). The next day, "Mastermind" was found dead in their holding cell, seemingly by suicide via a fatal shock of over 400 volts. The method in which "Mastermind" managed to get electrocuted by was seemingly anomalous, as the nearest depository of electricity was 8 cells down, in the form of a fuse box that controlled the facility's power consumption situated on the wall next to the door to the staircase. At that time, "Mastermind" was considered terminated, and their body promptly incinerated. The Master Ark was officially discontinued later that same month by 05.
On the day of the official discontinuation of the Master Ark, MTF sent a message to all the researchers on the Master Ark to evacuate. 4 hours later, MTF unit "Omega-4" was sent into the facility by the AF. Upon arrival, however, the squad had reportedly been teleported into the main core of the Master Ark, where the tests are ran, and requested to get in contact with their commander (Lieutenant [REDACTED] led the mission instead of Commander [REDACTED] due to a health problem caused by contact with an SCP on a recent mission). The following is a transcript of the mission intercom, leading up to the incident that gained the Master Ark SCP classification.
Transcript begins at 16:13 on XX/XX/23XX:
(16:13:42) Commander: Come in, Lieutenant. Please state why you have made contact with me, over.
(16:13:47) Lieutenant: Commander, we have been teleported into what appears to be the main core of the Master Ark. There isn't supposed to be a way out of here, so we're basically screwed unless you guys can somehow reconfigure the teleporter, over.
(16:13:58) Commander: Understood, we'll send in Omega-2 at the earliest possible ti-
(16:14:02) Lieutenant: [Interrupting] No, don't. If you send in Omega-2 they'll likely be put in the same situation we're in right now. You need to either find another way here or reconfigure the teleporter remotely, over.
(16:14:14) Commander: First off, do not interrupt me. I'm a Commander for a reason. Do not disrespect me again, understood? Secondly, remote access to the teleporter is not possible, the wretched [REDACTED] had the security done pretty well on it, over.
(16:14:28) Lieutenant: What, are you telling me even 05 doesn't have control over the thing? They founded it, they should be able to use it, over.
(16:14:35) Commander: Oh, did they actually brief you on the past of the Master Ark? Lucky you, they usually never do something like that, I'll check with them, I'll be a couple minutes.
[Commander leaves the communication. No activity is picked up for about 2 minutes]
(16:17:01) Cadet-2: Lieutenant, we're getting thermal activity from that room over there [Signals to west room]. What should we do, over?
(16:17:12) Lieutenant: It might be a D-Class, maybe they were still in testing before the researchers were evacuated. Keep an eye on that door, but other than that just ke-
[Lieutenant is interrupted by a loud voice over the speakers]
(16:17:21) Unknown Voice: My my, you guys are reckless. Do you guys just crouch like that all day, trying to hold in the fear of the dark? Bet you are, I put money on it! 100 [REDACTED] on the table, lets go! [8 seconds of what appears to be continuous laughter and wailing over the mic before suddenly cutting off]
(16:17:50) Lieutenant: Who are you? State your name, now! We are authorised to termi-
(16:17:58) Unknown Voice: Ha, You already tried it once, I'm not going to let you do it again.
(16:18:08) Lieutenant: Tried it once? What do you mean?
(16:18:13) Unknown Voice: The name's Mastermind. You thought I was dead but you were wrong! Now I'm the one creating fate and YOU'RE the ones playing it! Except you fools don't get nine lives like these pathetic D-Gits.
(16:18:24) Lieutenant: What do you plan on doing with us? Cadets 1, 2 and 3, ready your weapons. Show yourself!
(16:18:36) Unknown Voice: Oh, me? Oh I'd love to do the beating, but I am but a mere tool now. But not just a tool, a tool of destruction and destiny! This whole facility is now under MY command.
You guys never ran it well anyway, 0/10 review. All your levels sucked. They were basic and cheap and boring. Stole ideas from each other and never came up with anything creative. Straight fact here, all your researchers are such cowards. May as well bow to 173 why don't you?
(16:19:05) Lieutenant: Commander, come in, please. I need to contact 05 imm-
(16:19:11) Unknown Voice: OH MY GOD. 05. 05050505050505! It's always about 05 isn't it? Can't stand up for yourself, can't adapt, can't try and fail and try again? Basic life skills here that you all LACK. You either go 1 god damn percent in or 99%, and get a group of personnel killed in the process. I've studied you guys before, back in my first years in the Foundation. You guys can't do anything, and tonight, in the moonlight, I'm going to prove it… I wasn't kidding about bowing to 173 by the way. Why 173? Well, these games wouldn't be fun… if the participants didn't know how to play!
[More laughter as a sound of what appears to be the collision of a glass tube against concrete echoes through the hall, a second later, a muffled scream can be heard through the west door. Sounds of a door opening are barely picked up on the com]
(16:19:41) Cadet-1: SCP-173 spotted! Engage?
(16:19:47) Lieutenant: Engage. Turn it to dust.
[At this moment, the ES tool was detected to have a major power outage for approximately 3.2 seconds, causing the entire Ark to go dark.]
(16:19:52) Lieutenant: Flashlights on, go, go, g-
[Four sounds of gasps and neck snaps can be heard, as the speaker drops to the floor]
(16:19:57) Unknown Voice: Game on, Foundation. Get better, then come back and face me again, gits. Make this fun.
[Communication is then severed by unknown means. End of transcript]
ADDENDUM-1
After the events of Incident-MX, 05 gave the Master Ark and "Mastermind" SCP classification, designated Keter. They did not, however, give the SCP a number designation, and have instead registered this document as this SCPs document. All 4 members of Omega-4 sent into the Master Ark were presumed KIA. The other members of M testify that they never knew about the JOI, with the exception of M-2, who testified "Mastermind" revealing the machine to them, and reportedly told them that "Once we get enough Joy Power, I can transcend the mortal realm and become the player of the game! Then I can watch these shows forever! Oh, and if you tell anyone about this, I'll have you murdered on the spot". They also testify having manipulated the Researcher into stumbling upon the JOI on the day of "Mastermind" being taken in. The entirety of M is still under interrogation to this day. The Master Ark has yet to be reclaimed by the Foundation, and SCPs, along with D-Class, are still regularly being teleported into the Ark. SCPs have always returned a couple hours after being taken, however D-Class have so far had a 9.23% "survival" rate, though all of which have been diagnosed with PTSD, along with other diseases, infections or symptoms indicative of contact with SCPs such as [REDACTED], and were terminated on the spot.
Since Incident-MX, no other attempts at sending in MTF units have been made. It is currently unknown what plans 05 have to retake the Master Ark.
