The Pestilence

The SCP-5000 is known for showing up in dreams and not allowing the victim to wake up until the solve a riddle in their dreams. If they don’t solve the riddle they remain asleep to be tortured mentally.
It is described to be many forms one of which being a dragons head floating over them, another describes it to be a middle aged man with scales, and another sees a middle aged woman with wings. The survivors are often stricken with sleep paralysis, demensia, trauma, and sores lining their tongues. They have also come back with a mission to find SCP-049 and destroy him before he finds the cure. The victims that do not come back within the time frame they are given are destroyed getting rid of the connection between them. Upon causing the connection to break you will hear a roar of an unknown animal perceived to be SCP-5000. However when the connection was successful and the solve the riddle there is a clicking sound.
SCP-5000 seems to have a special hotspot surrounding SCP-049’s containment area and wherever SCP-049 seems to go. There is no artifact or object it seems to be linked to it seems to be occupying anything around SCP-049 as if to slow down its progress. It occupies humans and other living things put disappears when SCP-049 begins its operation. No personnel are aloud within 50 feet of its range and must stay within 10 feet of the known SCP-049 where the range ends without protective gear or their minds will be driven insane. All attempts to capture SCP-5000 were unsuccessful.

[interveiw with patient alongside SCP-049]
Patient: (in Norwegian) you have no right to imprison me i was simply having a bad dream!

SCP-049: you have traces of the pestilence all over you and around you! (Getting emotionally unstable)You breath it in and out like regular air yet you do not know that you are infected! It simply is a wonder your still here.

DR.Hamm: we have reason to believe that you were not having a bad dream you were simply being highjacked from the inside. You woke up before the time limit was up we simply want the riddle and its answer.

Patient: (in a calmer English) i hardly remember that part of my dream how did you know?

Dr.Hamm: (to SCP-049) we should observe more there has to be something we are missing your operations are extraordinary but i think if we just watch what happens for the next few weeks we will have data on how this works better, agreed?

SCP-049: (to Dr.Hamm) yes, i agree however, i do not approve of this method of research. Doctor there have been terrible things that i have overseen that even i wish to never see again and much more unsee, but this, this is newer to me.

Patient: (mumbles histerically and starts to pace the room) (his voice changes and his eyes go white) hello DOCTOR

SCP-049: Dr.Hamm you need to leave I will record my findings in the computer and save them.

Dr.Hamm: Guards! Guard the outside of the doors but no one goes in and no one comes out except for him!
(Dr.Hamm leaves interogation)

SCP-049: (stands up) what do you want now?!
