LOG A - 09/27/16
Subject; Agent Gavin and D-3582
Procedure; Agent Gavin was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. Agent was asked to fire at D-3582, who was 50 meters downrange and blindfolded to ensure compliance. Agent was also instructed to fire at the wall directly behind himself, rather than aiming at D-3582.
Results; Shot connected with D-3582 at the base of the forehead, resulting in termination.
Analysis; Footage was captured of test and slowed down to analyze the mechanics of SCP-XXXX. The bullet fired from SCP-XXXX shifted by nearly 180 degrees and continued in the direction of D-3582 until the shot connected.
Notes From Dr. Mercer; The bullet leaving SCP-XXXX exhibited behavior more closely resembling a guided missile than a bullet. This is puzzling considering the fact that SCP-XXXX was found unloaded, and Agent Gavin was given standard .50 caliber ammunition rounds, which rules out the possibility of specialized bullets that may contain a propulsion devices and a navigational system. Further testing should be conducted to determine the full extent of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.
LOG B - 10/2/16
Subject; Agent Gavin and D-2365
Procedure; Agent Gavin was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. Agent was asked to fire at D-2365, who was 50 meters downrange and blindfolded to ensure compliance. Agent was also instructed to fire directly into the floor in front of him, rather than aiming at D-2365.
Results; Shot connected with the bottom of D-2365's lower jaw and exited through the top of her skull, resulting in her termination.
Analysis; Footage was captured of test and slowed down to analyze the mechanics of SCP-XXXX. The bullet was fired through the floor, but reappeared directly below D-2365. Analysis of the test chamber suggests the bullet travelled around 15 centimeters into the floor, before reorienting itself and continuing for 50 meters under the floor to its intended target. Upon reaching target, the bullet again reoriented itself and shot up through the floor to make connection with the intended target.
Notes From Dr. Mercer; Not only did the bullet change direction several times during the course of the experiment, but it also managed to travel through 50 meters of solid concrete foundation to reach its target with negligible reductions to speed and no reduction to the integrity of the bullet itself. I'd like to propose several further experiments to determine the rifle's full capabilities.
LOG C - 10/5/16
Subject; Agent Gavin and D-7401
Procedure; Agent Gavin was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. Agent was asked to fire at D-7401, who was 50 meters downrange and blindfolded to ensure compliance. D-7401 was asked to run as fast as he could to the right in a zig zag formation at the start of the experiment. Agent was instructed to fire at D-7401's original position approximately 7 seconds after D-7401 began his run.
Results; Shot connected with the back of D-7401's neck, severing the medulla oblongata and instantly terminating D-7401.
Analysis; Footage was captured of the test and slowed down to analyze the mechanics of SCP-XXXX. The bullet appeared to change its trajectory approximately 22.57 meters from the barrel, curving at wide angles to compensate for D-7401's movements.
LOG D - 10/12/16
Subject; Agent Gavin and D-0954
Procedure; Agent Gavin was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. Agent was asked to fire at D-0954, who was placed in a steel cube with 5 meter thick walls. The cube was placed 50 meters downrange, and D-0954 was asked to lie down straight and await further instructions. Agent was instructed to fire SCP-XXXX directly above his head.
Results; Bullet penetrated the walls of the steel cube and connected with D-0954 through the temple, resulting in his termination.
Analysis; Footage was captured of the test and slowed down to analyze the mechanics of SCP-XXXX. Bullet changed trajectory approximately 3 meters from the barrel, covering the distance between Agent REDACTED and D-0954 and cutting through the steel wall with no adverse effects on the bullet.
Notes From Dr. Mercer; SCP-XXXX has proved itself more than capable of completing the most convoluted tasks assigned to it. I suggest we take this one step further and set up the largest experiment we can conduct with this weapon.
LOG E - 11/17/16
Subject; Agent Asimov and D-4707
Procedure; Agent Asimov was flown out to the testing site near Roswell, New Mexico and given SCP-XXXX with proper ammunition. D-4707 was positioned atop a large mesa approximately 12.5 kilometers away from and 275 meters above Agent Asimov's position. Agent was instructed to fire at a marked angle where equipment was set up to monitor the bullet's hypothetical path. Area was sparsely populated, and easily cleared of civilian traffic to avoid unneccessary casualties. Agent fired SCP-XXXX 55 degrees to the right of D-4707's location, as instructed.
Results; Approximately 16.5 seconds after firing, the bullet fired from SCP-XXXX connected with D-4707's left ocular socket, resulting in his termination.
Analysis; Cameras were set up along SCP-XXXX's projected bullet path to capture and slow down footage as well as mark times between each camera to get an accurate measurement of any reduction to the bullet's speed. The bullet maintained a consistent speed of around 760 meters per second for over 12.5 kilometers, despite the vast distance and obstacles in the bullet's path, including several 2 meter thick steel walls set up by the foundation.
Notes From Dr. Mercer; It seems that no matter how difficult we make the fire mission, SCP-XXXX pulls through with consistent efficiency. I'd like to conduct a few more tests back at Site-77 to determine whether SCP-XXXX displays anomalous properties when presented with non-human and non-organic targets.
LOG F - 12/03/16
Subject; Agent Murray and one female ox
Procedure; Agent Murray was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. A single female ox specimen was placed 50 meters downrange. Agent was instructed to fire at the wall directly behind him.
Results; Bullet entered and exited through the animal's ocular sockets, killing it.
Analysis; The bullets from logs A and F display similar behavior, suggesting non-sapient organics can be targeted.
LOG G - 12/05/16
Subject; Agent Murray
Procedure; Agent Murray was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. An archery target board was set up 50 meters downrange. Agent was instructed to fire directly at the wall behind him.
Results; The bullet shot into the wall.
Analysis; SCP-XXXX seems to be incapable of aiming at non-organic targets of a sedentary nature.
LOG H - 12/07/16
Subject; Agent Murray
Procedure; Agent Murray was given SCP-XXXX and proper ammunition. A robotic drone was placed 50 meters downrange. Agent was instructed to shoot at the wall directly behind him.
Results; The bullet shot into the wall.
Analysis; SCP-XXXX seems to be incapable of aiming at any non-organic targets.
Notes From Dr. Mercer; I think we've conducted enough tests with SCP-XXXX for now. We have a decent understanding of its capabilities, and several researchers have discussed the possibility of using this thing to terminate some of the more dangerous Keter level SCPs, such as 096 or 682. I doubt it'll ever be approved by the O-5 Council, but the possibility is intriguing nonetheless.
