Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within the recreational objects section of Site █.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP, a model of recreational handheld video game systems produced in 2003. The game system by itself produces no anomalous effects, although its internal systems have been significantly altered and modified from its retail settings. Research into the modified systems is ongoing and has yet to reveal conclusive results.
SCP-XXXX becomes anomalous when SCP-XXXX-1 is inserted into the game cartridge port of the game system.
- SCP-XXXX-1 is a heavily modified Pokemon Fire Red cartridge. The cartridge exhibits highly sophisticated memory storage that should be completely incompatible with the relatively small size of the cartridge. The power consumption of SCP-XXXX-1 is in excess of terawatts; the causes for such high energy needs are currently unknown. How SCP-XXXX's current battery is able to produce such immense power is also unknown.
Upon the insertion of SCP-XXXX-1 into SCP-XXXX, the gameboy when activated loads what initially appears to be a standard Pokemon Fire Red game. Interactions with the games menus are non anomalous. However, when a Pokemon battle is initiated in the game, an intense beam of light erupts from the back port of the system; the exact source of this has yet to be determined. Upon impacting the nearest surface, the beam of light produces an exact, to scale, replica of the users current Pokemon in the battle.
Researchers, Dr. ████████ especially, were baffled. In addition, the opposing NPC's Pokemon is also generated.
SCP-XXXX was initially purchased by a family in the United States for their young child. Believing it to be a normal Gameboy, the child activated the system, and its anomalous effects soon
