Human Plant

Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be kept in a concrete cell with a nutrient rich soil floor. Soil is to be replaced daily as to keep SCP-xxxx occupied with subsequently generated plant matter. While soil is being replaced, the creature is to be kept in a temporary containment cell of the same dimensions, under the supervision of at least 5 Foundation guards. Additionally, both cells are to have reinforced bullet-proof glass windows in the center of each wall, as well as the center of the ceiling, as to encourage plant growth. All requests for testing are to be reviewed by at least one researcher with a minimum of level 2 security clearance.

Description: SCP-xxxx is a male humanoid, approximately 2.2m tall and 35 years of age. It’s skin and eye colors vary throughout the day, but mostly remain within shades of green within the hours of 05:30 to 15:00. Psychological analysis has shown that SCP-xxxx has an I.Q. score equivalent of that of an average adult male’s, and is capable of communication in most languages, the only exception being dead languages such as Latin. It's mental state is poor, most likely due to it’s containment and near constant observation by foundation personnel.

Despite it’s humanoid appearance, DNA analysis has proven that SCP-xxxx is part of the Iris Pseudacorus family. This as an extremely rare species of weed, and suggests multiple instances of SCP-xxxx may exist.

SCP-xxxx has the ability to encourage and manipulate plant growth within a 15m radius, yet is unable do this consciously . It is able to do this even in seed devoid environments, as long as nutrient rich soil is present. Plants generated by SCP-xxxx still require all general requirements of normal plants, yet specific needs are somehow ignored. Plants require only small amounts of direct sunlight, and will deteriorate within 4 to 5 hours if deprived of it. In scenarios in which it’s destruction is imminent, SCP-xxxx has been observed to increase in size (maximum extents of growth are currently unknown) and proceed to apprehend and exterminate it’s attackers, after which it returns to its original size and becomes docile.

SCP-4086 first became known to the foundation when multiple news articles were published about how the city of Deckerville, MI was completely overrun with overgrown ivy plants, which were reported to grow in ‘the blink of an eye’. With the ivy plants themselves thought to be anomalous at first, multiple mobile task forces were sent to investigate.

After arriving at the designated location, the mobile task forces were confronted by the true instance SCP-4086. After various attempts to convince it to evacuate the area, SCP-4086 proceeded to fall into a distressed state its most apparent anomalous properties coming to light as it ensnared multiple personnel in poison ivy. The resulting firefight resulted in the deaths of 12 Foundation personnel and 3 civilians. After ‘peace offerings’ of various bags of manure and fertilizer were given to it, SCP-4086 became docile and cooperated with foundation personnel, making the remaining work of acquiring SCP-4086 relatively light work.
