Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 0.5m x 0.5m x 0.6m reinforced heat-resistant glass cage located in Lab-█ at Site-██ at a temperature of -4 °F.
Any personnel who wish for the removal of SCP-XXXX for any purposes will need permission from the Site Director. As of ██/██/19██, Site Director █████ ██████████ has ordered the item to be contained at all times, meaning all future requests of removal shall instantly be denied by the Site Director. (See Addendum XXXX.1 for further information). In the case that SCP-XXXX were to erupt, all personnel in Lab-█ must evacuate through the emergency fire exit after sounding a Level Two (2) Containment Breach alarm.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 19th century brass kettle, with a black rubber handle, that is around 25cm x 20cm x 30cm. Even though Foundation Researchers concluded that the metal of SCP-XXXX was indeed brass in 19██, it has been in containment for █████████ (██) years and has not rusted or gotten contaminated leading Researchers to believe it is not actually brass, but a new unidentified metal. The Researchers then hypothesised that the contents of SCP-XXXX is liquid magma yet it is not able to be confirmed as it is impossible to remove the lid off of SCP-XXXX or examine the substance.
At 212°F, SCP-XXXX will start to release gases identical to that of a volcano containing Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Sulfur Dioxide (SO2). SCP-XXXX will start to heat up at a rapid rate until the unidentified substance, which is believed to be the liquid magma, erupts from the spout.
Addendum XXXX.1: Arrival to Site-██
On██/██/19██, Site-██'s Mobile Task Force escorted Field Agent ████ ██████ and his team to Lab-█ for SCP-XXXX to be studied. Later that day at ██:██PM a Level Two (2) Containment Breach alarm was sounded. At ██:██PM the available Mobile Task Force had extinguished SCP-XXXX and Lab-█. Sixteen (16) Foundation personnel died during the incident.
