Item #: SCP-3911

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3911 is to be contained in a containment locker, enclosed in the casket it was found in.

Description: SCP-3911 is a victorian rectangular mirror with oak framing, and blood writting on the back. It has been carbon dated to be about 1870 years old. The sizes of the mirror are not consistent, as they change after every use, and the sizes vary from 2 m x 4 m to 5 m x 7 m. On the back of the mirror, there is a short message written in Bactrian, which roughly translates to "Take a look inside yourself" written in human blood.

Subjects that make direct eye contact with the reflective surface will be teleported on the other side of the mirror, creating a pocket dimension for said subject( Subjects are now to be referred as SCP-3911-1 ). SCP-3911-1 will see everything that's wrong with them and their future. If any other person looks at the mirror, with SCP-3911-1 already inside, it will have no effect. It was observed that a black creature with luminescent red eyes ( SCP-3911-2 ) is seen in front of SCP-3911-1, ripping their eyes off. After approximately 30 minutes, the subjects will be brought back, with their eyes missing.

Subjects brought back don't report seeing any creature, only their failures and their future.

Upon exposing SCP-3911 to any source of light, will prevent the subject from losing their eyes, and the creature from appearing.

Breaking the mirror while SCP-3911-1 is inside will instantly kill the subject, unknown how. SCP-3911
will repair itself after a consecutive 24 hours not being exposed to any light.

Addendum: Using X-rays, it was discovered that there's a thin layer of human tissues between the wooden casing and the reflective surface.

Footnote: The first mirror was invented in 1835.
