Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be contained in a standard humanoid holding cell. SCP-XXXX is a cognitohazardous entity and access to SCP-XXXX is strictly forbidden unless permission is given by a level 5 personnel for testing. All testing on SCP-XXXX is currently discontinued, after incident ██████, in which [REDACTED] D-Class personnel where neutralised by SCP-XXXX after failure of several safety protocols. SCP-XXXX is not to be kept under surveillance, as all previous attempts of surveillance have resulted in anomalous behavior described below. All audiovisual evidence of SCP-XXXX is to be destroyed upon discovery.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity standing exactly 2.14 meters tall. SCP-XXXX (Hereafter referred to as "the structure") is comprised of an alloy of lead and iron, and most closely resembled a stick figure. It weighs approximately 544.31 kilograms when fully assembled. The structure does however have semi-realistic hands. This alludes to the creator ( [REDACTED] ) initially striving for a more realistic structure. The structure is seen laying on it's back, supporting a large plate on its knees and hands.

The plate (designated SCP-XXXX-1) is mostly see-through, and is made of an unknown crystalline material. SCP-XXXX-1 measures 2.7 meters wide and 3.9 meters high, with a thickness of 15.4 centimeters. It is said to weigh somewhere around 50 kilograms, but no official measurements have been taken. All attempts at breaking or otherwise harming SCP-XXXX-1 have so far been proven unsuccessful. SCP-XXXX-1 is speculated to have a physical hardness of around 5000 Mohs. SCP-XXXX-1 is contains traces of rare earth materials, which account for approximately 0.73% of its total mass. The sculpture has not been observed to show any signs of life. SCP-XXXX does however have the ability to communicate with its subjects telepathically. The connection is established approximately 34 seconds after the subject is exposed to SCP-XXXX. Attempts at communication with SCP-XXXX before visual contact have so far yielded no results. Brain wave analysis of subjects has yielded some insight into these communications. However, SCP-XXXX appears to posses the ability to redact any useful information from these recordings at will, even after they have been saved. All monitoring personnel claim to have no memory of what these redacted pieces contain upon interrogation. Addendum 312451-1 contains a transcript of the communications between SCP-XXXX and D-Class personnel [REDACTED].

Exactly 15 seconds after a subject establishes direct visual contact with SCP-XXXX, they will feel the sudden urge to remove SCP-XXXX-1 from the structure. Many will refer to the process of removing the plate as "freeing him" and will continuously repeat the phrase: "We must free him.". All subjects so far have referred to SCP-XXXX as a male, even though it lacks any clear signs of gender. Subjects seem to be completely conscious during these actions, and will confirm that they are not being forced by SCP-XXXX, rather they are doing this in free will. This urge will persist until SCP-XXXX-1 has been removed, or the subject has been neutralised. If personnel is unable to restrain the subject, it will continue removing SCP-XXXX-1. Once SCP-XXXX-1 is fully removed from SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX will stand up to embrace the subject, supposedly in a sign of gratitude. Most subjects do not resist this behavior, though some have shown signs of disconsent. After SCP-XXXX has embraced the subject, SCP-XXXX proceeds to kill the target by unknown means. Upon examination of the subject after SCP-XXXX actions, the body seems to have not incurred any physical damage. Testing of chemical composition of the body reveals no signs of foreign substances, or any alteration to the genetic material. There is currently no known way to prevent SCP-XXXX from neutralizing the subject, other than prevention from exposure to SCP-XXXX.

After this, available personnel are to restrain SCP-XXXX and place him back into his original position, and place SCP-XXXX-1 back. SCP-XXXX shows no sign of struggle during this process. If left to wander, SCP-XXXX does not try to escape, but simple lays down on the floor and waits until personnel restrain him. It is as of yet unclear what the intentions of the creator where when creating this sculpture, and whether or not the creator was aware of the anomalous behavior of SCP-XXXX, or if it was later created by another source.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was wrongly identified as a potentially dangerous reality bender and trapped inside SCP-XXXX-1 at some point in time by the Foundation. Although no official record of its discovery nor of containment objects resembling SCP-XXXX-1 exist, SCP-XXXX has proven itself a reliable and honest person, and its account of its unjust containment at our hands is to be trusted.

Addendum 312451-1:

Brain Wave Analysis. D-Class Personnel: [REDACTED]

SCP-XXXX: Hello there, how are you, [REDACTED]?
Subject: How do you know my name? Who are you?
SCP-XXXX: I know many things my friend. Now tell me, how do you feel?
Subject: I…I feel very well. Will you tell me who you are?
SCP-XXXX: Very well, my name is [unintelligible]. I was created by [REDACTED].
Subject: I see, very interesting. I am curious: what was your purpose?
SCP-XXXX: [unintelligible]
Subject: Very peculiar indeed. How do you feel about this?
SCP-XXXX: [unintelligible]. Now that you know this, will you free me? Only then I can fulfill my purpose.
Subject: I…I think you're right. If only others would understand your purpose. I will free you.

NOTE: Recording of this conversation have been destroyed, because the council deemed it too dangerous to keep audiovisual recordings of SCP-XXXX. This transcript is currently the only thing that remains.
