Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained at site-90. POI-XXXX-1 is to be kept nearby at all times and allowed unlimited access and interaction with SCP-XXXX. under no circumstances should POI-XXXX-1 be forcefully separated from, or prevented from interacting with, SCP-XXXX SCP-XXXX is to be continually monitored at all times when awake. When SCP-XXXX is asleep continuous monitoring is unnecessary, however staff should observe every 90 minutes and must be able to hear (usually by way of radio monitor) and respond to the waking of, signs of distress from, SCP-XXXX.
While awake SCP-XXXX’s needs should be met as much as possible and should be primarily interacted with by way of positive play and engagement. If needed, however, staff are to respond to poor behaviour with a verbal reprimand and cease interaction for approx. 1 minute. SCP-XXXX will appear distressed for this time, however will respond positively to re-engagement from staff.
SCP-XXXX’s mood can fluctuate throughout a day and staff are to make attempts de-escalate as needed. Where SCP-XXXX becomes particularly distressed and has difficulty in returning to baseline behaviour, staff should utilise either audio or video recordings of POI-XXXX-1 until SCP-XXXX has calmed.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a caucasian female human appearing to be around 18 months old, however is chronologically 22 years of age. Originally named Elizabeth █████, SCP-XXXX physical appearance is consistent with non-anomalous humans of its apparent age group, both to the naked eye and under medical examination such as X-Rays and MRIs.
SCP-XXXs mental ability is also consistent with its apparent age – it does understand some spoken language and can follow simple instructions (e.g. "bring me the doll") though has no understanding of written word. SCP-XXXX can speak a few words and can make it’s needs known, such as by pointing or using it’s limited vocabulary.
SCP-XXXX is the only child of POI-XXXX-1 (Named Melissa █████) SCP-XXXX's physical and mental development halted at around 18 months of age. While it does not appear to age, SCP-XXXX is still able to suffer physical injury and illness, though will recover from these within a standard time frame.
Acquisition and History: SCP-XXXX came to the attention of the Foundation after concerns were raised at ████ ████ nursery where SCP-XXXX attended. The nursery felt that development was well behind what should be expected of a child of (chronologically at the time) 3 years old. When the nursery attempted to address this with POI-XXXX-1 she disengaged with the service, removing SCP-XXXX from the nursery who subsequently raised safeguarding concerns with the local authority.
A Foundation agent embedded in the local authority was assigned to investigate, during which he suspected the anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX and contacted MTF Epsilon-12 “Security Blankets” who organised and implemented initial containment for assessment by foundation researchers.
The anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX was confirmed by interview of POI-XXXX-1
POI-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX were given time to calm before further interviews were conducted. During the next 3 interviews POI-XXXX-1 was either hostile, uncommunicative or otherwise unwilling to engage constructively with interviewers.
Following this interview, POI-XXXX-1 slowly became more cooperative with foundation effort to contain SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX was moved to permanent containment.
