Object Class: Safe Euclid (See Experiment XXXX-1)
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored on Site 19 in a standard humanoid containment cell with an emergency glass container (typically containing a fire extinguisher) with a pair of scissors (coated with polytetrafluoroethylene) inside. SCP-XXXX is to be placed on a oak table coated in polytetrafluoroethylene. Containment cell is to be kept sixty (60) meters away from the rest of Site 19. If these procedures are not met, SCP-XXXX-1 will manifest.
SCP-XXXX is to be treated as sentient and extremely dangerous.
In no event is SCP-XXXX to come within reach of any staff member, except during authorized tests. By order of O5-█, no further tests are to be conducted for the foreseeable future. In the event of a containment breach, CTF-Omicron-21 (Cutting-Edge Technology) are to be dispatched to recontain SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX resembles a partially-used roll of duct tape. When SCP-XXXX comes within fifty (50) meters of any human subject, it will begin to roll around the area in circles with a average diameter of 50cm. SCP-XXXX has been observed to roll these circles at top speeds of 120KM/H. When SCP-XXXX is able to make contact with the human subject, it will proceed to partially mummify the human subject. In most cases it will begin by restraining the person's limbs and preventing the subject from speaking. Any attempts to prevent this process have met with sudden kidney and liver failure of the person who has attempted to interrupt the process, whether it be via physical contact or remote manipulation.
SCP-XXXX will then proceed to encase the human subject in tape from the feet up. in 30% of cases, the entity will not encase the subject's nose, allowing for the subject to breath. In all other cases, the subject has not been able to breathe while encased. Those who survive by either getting cut out or SCP-XXXX not encasing their nose, they have subsequently died from suicide within 24 hours. The roll will always remain at its partially-used state, and cannot be deplenished.
Any attempt to use SCP-XXXX as a normal roll of tape has been met with failure, as SCP-XXXX does not seem to have any physical indication of an opening to use the tape. Any attempts to damage the roll has not been successful as it appears to have a protective casing on the cardboard on the inside of the roll.
SCP-XXXX will roll towards any sort of cutting apparatus and, if it contacts the apparatus, the apparatus will dematerialise. The apparatuses have thus far not been recovered; it is unknown whether they have been teleported or merely disintegrated. Note that SCP-XXXX seemingly cannot detect things behind any sort of obstruction, transparent or otherwise.
SCP-XXXX has demonstrated a marked aversion to polytetrafluoroethylene, and exposure also causes a decrease in "stickiness" between 10 to 90%; this effect is most prominent when in conjunction with oak wood. SCP-XXXX's tape cannot be cut by anything other than Belmont-brand Scissors coated in polytetrafluoroethylene.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a manifestation of the last person that SCP-XXXX has killed. SCP-XXXX-1 will seek out any person who had a personal relationship with the last victim (henceforth "the target"). It will then proceed to engage in conversation with the target. During this interaction, the targets have consistently failed to demonstrate any memory or knowledge of the death of the previous victim, even if they were fully aware of the circumstances surrounding the death. The conversations often begin with a friendly tone, but each recorded conversation has eventually led to [DATA EXPUNGED]. At this point, SCP-XXXX will attempt to bring the target into contact with SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1 can pass through solid objects, and seems to have an inclination to open any door it finds. No security system has been able to prevent the opening of said door. This can cause a containment breach.
After the events of Interview-XXXX-A, Researcher █████ has shown concern over a possible cognitohazard. Said researcher has also suggested a "Infection" caused by SCP-XXXX's adhesive.
Addendum 1: SCP-XXXX was discovered after the foundation was alerted to the existence of the entity by the ███████.com CEO. The Entity was found at Recording Studio 4 in ██████████, Kentucky. During this time, no productions using SCP-XXXX were known of. (See Incident XXXX-A)
Incident XXXX-A: A production containing SCP-XXXX was discovered on ███████.com after multiple rumors of adult films containing SCP-███. The video was replaced via intervention of MTF Mu-4 personnel. All persons who participated in the making of this production were administered Class-B amnestics. Attempts to contact the management of ███████ failed, and the Foundation became aware that the board of directors (25 individuals) have all been reported missing since 08/11/20██. Investigation into this is ongoing (See Note 1)
Incident XXXX-B:During Containment Breach 2016-11, six D-Class Personnel entered SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, four of whom subsequently died via SCP-XXXX suffocation. One D-Class escaped before the door automatically sealed them in (see CBR-2016-11[D-4843]).
The final D-Class personnel (D-8657) survived the encounter by obtaining the scissors within the chamber and allowing himself to be encased, concealing the scissors within his pocket. He then proceeded to cut himself out once SCP-XXXX had went back into the docile state. He then bypassed the door sealing system and then made his way back to his holding cell and was retrieved there by security. Why he did not attempt to escape is unknown. (See Interview XXXX-1)

Dr. ████: You are D-8657, yes?
D-8657: That's me!
Dr. ████: We have record of you surviving an unusually lethal encounter with SCP-XXXX.
D-8657: Yeah…
Dr. ████: Please describe the incident.
D-8657: Well… Me and the others entered the chamber and, it got [4538] first, man, we all… just froze man, I wanted to help, but I went to help, and… man, it was like a knife in my gut. I couldn't stand it. As soon as I backed off, it stopped, so I just….Dr. ████: Let's get to the part about your experience.
D-8657: OK, yeah. Well, I saw the sign, so I went to the scissor box and smashed it open. I kept them tight in my hand, stuffed it into my pocket. Once I was sure it had stopped moving, I cut myself out.
Dr. ████: Did you experience anything strange during the process?D-8657: Kind of… I heard a voice.
Dr. ████: What did it say?
D-8657: Nonsense. Just a bunch of numbers.
Dr. ████: Please.
D-8657: "364253, -26, 18263".
(D-8657 then collapsed onto the table, suffering an apparent seizure, Dr. ████ appeared panicked.)
Dr. ████: We need some help in here!

Closing Statement: D-8657 died afterwards despite medical intervention. Cause of death was determined to be simultaneous failure of the kidneys, liver, and ███████.
Incident XXXX-C: During the interview, the temperature in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber increased by an estimated 100o Kelvin, and SCP-XXXX proceeded to ram into the south wall at high speeds. SCP-XXXX-1 also manifested in the form of D-8657 immediately after D-8657's collapse and attacked the guards outside of the containment chamber, causing two casualties.
Experiment XXXX-1: After Interview XXXX-1, a radio was placed into Test Chamber 6 with 1 D-Class subject within. D-6637 was instructed to tune the radio to 364253 hz, and enter Auth Code 18263 as the room temperature was dropped to 247.15 Kelvin. The radio began to broadcast a Morse code message. The Message was decrypted to be the following:
I have ████████████.
████████████ is the name of O5-█'s Child. It is unknown how this information was acquired by SCP-XXX. SCP-XXXX showed no reaction during this event. Attempts to locate the geographic location of this broadcast were unsucessful.
Note: All 25 Board Members of ███████.com were later found dead in a forest outside of █████████, Kentucky, each encased with duct tape and showing signs of frostbite and jaundice.
