Special Containment Procedures

SCP-XXXX's Containment Class has been moved from Safe to Euclid as of 2/19/2008 due to prior events. See Addendum-XXXX-01 for full report. SCP-XXXX is contained inside of Site-81. SCP-XXXX is contained in a see-through 0.33 m. x 0.76 m. glass and metal cage. The top and bottom of the cage is composed of metal, the top of the cage is grated-style with an also grated-style lid with two (2) heating lamps placed overhead of the cage.

SCP-XXXX and it's cage must be stored inside of a containment chamber with ventilation that is controlled manually. The containment chamber floor, walls, and roof must be made up of concrete or metal, the chamber's entrance gate and vents must be made up of metal due to SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.

Anomaly Description

SCP-XXXX is a Pogona and belongs within the Agamidae family. Partial Discovery Report:¹ SCP-XXXX was first discovered in Australia where explorers were mysteriously dying while exploring the subtropical woodlands of [DATA EXPUNGED]. Helping explorers have said that the person they were with died mysteriously, almost like they choked to death. They can also recall the forest animals around this animal were all dead. The Foundation interfered with the situation and witnesses were amnesticized with Class-A amnestics. SCP-XXXX was then finally shipped to Site-81.

SCP-XXXX's toxin, chemical compound.

SCP-XXXX's femoral pores produce a deadly toxin that SCP-XXXX can release at any time. The toxin can spread up to about 10-25 yds. and even further, about 30-██ yds. if forced, for example if carried by a fan. SCP-XXXX is also highly destructive and can destroy human and animal flesh, as well as drywall and in certain circumstances wood. The toxin has been researched and the toxin's origin is not from Earth, at this time it isn't known if the origin is local to the lizard or extraterrestrial. If neither of these possibilities are true then the chemicals still have not been found, and their locations remain unknown. Notice: SCP-XXXX's chemical compound is redacted and information is exclusive to Level-4 personnel or higher.

SCP-XXXX after neutralization tests has proven it impossible to kill SCP-XXXX, it appears that SCP-XXXX has a strong regeneration ability. SCP-XXXX can regenerate wounds and broken off limbs extremely fast. The reason that SCP-XXXX can abnormally regenerate fast has not been specified but it has been believed that it may have been to stop it's own toxin corroding it's interior and exterior. This guess is the most reasonable to researchers due to the fact that it's regeneration ability likely wouldn't have evolved from predators due to its deadly toxin.

Addendum-XXXX-01: Containment Class Upgrade Report

SCP-XXXX's past Special Containment Procedures had SCP-XXXX contained inside of Light Storage Unit B-24 located in D-Wing at Site-81. SCP-XXXX was contained inside of a low-class standard containment chamber, SCP-XXXX was planned to be researched in 2 days and it was held captive at LSU-B-24² until then. SCP-XXXX's toxin with it's corrosive abillities torn through the containment chamber walls and filled the air with it's toxin. Approximately, 12 personnel died during this containment failure.

Test Subject: D-098732, Strong build.

Test Contents: Subject ordered to stand in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber for 5 minutes.

Test Results: Subject started coughing 10 seconds in, Subject felt fatigue 29 seconds in, then died 1 minute and 5 seconds in.

Subject Autopsy Results: Subject's esophagus enlarged and extremely damaged, due to trapped gas. Deteriorated nostrils and mouth were also spotted.

Test-02

Test Subject: D-098733, Weak build.

Test Contents: Subject ordered to stand in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber for 5 minutes.

Test Results: Loud pop sound was heard 17 seconds in, Subject immediately died. Researchers can recall seeing the subjects neck explode.

Subject Autopsy Results: Subjects esophagus and neck was blown open, Subjects stomach was [REDACTED].

Test-03

Test Subject: D-123343, Average build.

Test Contents: Subject ordered to attempt to kill SCP-XXXX. Subject supplied with a kitchen knife.

Test Results: Subject entered room and stabbed SCP-XXXX one time until D-123343 died to suffocation. Inspection led to no seen damage marks left on SCP-XXXX.

Subject Autopsy Results: Esophagus melted and stomach minorly damaged.

Test-04

Test Subject: D-342523, Average build

Test Contents: Subject forced to stay inside of SCP-XXXX's chamber until body completely decomposed or majorly damaged.

Test Results: Subject died 28 seconds into the test, Subjects body skin and flesh completely decomposed 28 minutes and 17 seconds in. [REDACTED]. Subjects skeleton is last to remain, 1 hour and 27 minutes in.

Subject Autopsy Results: N/A.

Test-05

Test Subject: E-612, D-Class subject recently diagnosed with Asthma. Testing approved by [DATA EXPUNGED].

Test Contents: Subject ordered to stand in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber for 5 minutes.

Test Results: Subject when entered containment chamber couldn't breathe and died 12 seconds in.

Subject Autopsy Results: [DATA EXPUNGED]. Subjects inability to breathe immediately after entering SCP-XXXX is believed to have been caused by her Asthma.

Test-06

Test Subject: D-2321-A,³ a large Goanna.

Test Contents: The Goanna was expected to attempt to kill SCP-XXXX.

Test Results: The Goanna died quickly, about 6 seconds in.

Subject Autopsy Results: Autopsy reveals that SCP-XXXX's toxin quickly dissolved the Goannas inside. A mass clean-up has been requested by researchers at Lab-24C, after autopsy.

Dr. Newman ███████ and helping researchers have advised to stop Class-D testing with SCP-XXXX and continue clean research with the anomaly. Tests with SCP-XXXX will not continue unless direly needed or authorized by Level-4 Personnel.
