Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4677 is to be held in a standard humanoid containment cell and monitored at all times. The cell door is to remain sealed at all times and not opened under any circumstances. Any objects which must be placed in SCP-4677's possession is to be deposited in a two way drawer system operated by a D Class personal. NO DIRECT PHYSICAL CONTACT IS TO BE MADE WITH SCP-4677 AT ANY TIME. Violation of this is subject to immediate termination.
Description: SCP-4677 is a humanoid adult female of undetermined age, believed to be of hispanic background with long, straight black hair. SCP-4677 possess' the ability to somehow create an infinite source of a liquid inside of any object she touches. If applied to living beings, such as animals or humans, SCP-4677 will also gain a low level of mental control over said subject, however this has been noted to only have an effective range of approximately five kilometers.
Subjects effected by SCP-4677 will experience a massive build up of liquid in the lungs and chest cavity before said liquid will begin leaking from the mouth, nose, and other orifice depending on the advancement of their state. After this, a Subject will usually give the appearance of having drowned in said fluids, at which point all major functions will cease, and SCP-4677 will retain somewhat limited control over the body. However, tests on Subjects taken beyond the five kilometer range indicate that most, if not all effected Subjects are still alive and fully aware of what is happening to them and of their surroundings at all times. At this time, there is no known means to reverse the effects of a SCP-4677 takeover, and termination is often the only course of action.
Subjects cannot spread SCP-4677's influence to new hosts themselves. Only direct physical contact by SCP-4677 has been observed to have this effect. While those within the five kilometer range are, to some extent, under SCP-4677 direct control, those outside of the range are noted to be much more feral like in their behavior, attacking or attempting to attack any living thing not under the effects of SCP-4677.
Although an exact age has not been determined, records indicate that SCP-4677's first known incident occurred in Lot, Texas, July, 1935. (See Logs). Later sightings include a German research facility located in the Black Forest in 1943, and an unnamed farming village in Argentina in 1945. A few incidents occurring in Peru and Brazil in the 1950s are also believed to be attributed to SCP-4677, but no concrete evidence has been recovered to prove this.
SCP-4677 did not come to Foundation attention until Black Spring incident (See Logs) in 1997, at which point a Mobile Task Force was successful in it's detention and recovery.
Logs:
Lot, Texas incident report, July, 1935: Research Team and Mobile Task Force unit dispatched to town of Lot, Texas after an intercepted phone call between a Texas Ranger in the field and his superiors. Foundation members arrived to find the entire population of the town having excessive amounts of water flowing from their noses and mouths. The effect extended to local wildlife and livestock as well. Source of anomaly could not be located or determined, and town placed under quarantine with most of the population being terminated due to excessive violent behavior to any unaffected individuals.
Only one unaffected resident was recovered, the town priest, whom was located in the town church. Survivor suffered from an advanced deteriorated mental state, and frequently made references to "The Drowned Miracle" while in Foundation custody. It is believed that this survivor was aiding SCP-4677 in conversion of the population, using the church as a means to do so. Evidence recovered from the site and survivor's own statements support this theory.
Lot has since been placed under Foundation quarantine and is currently being studied for any further anomalies activity.
Black Spring, Kansas incident report, October, 1997: Foundation agent dispatched to investigate a hospital report in Hays, Kansas regarding supposed anomalies activity. Agent's investigation led to the isolated town of Black Spring, after which a request was sent to Central for a containment team. Contact with Agent was lost shortly afterward, and MTF Zeta-7: 'Grim's Reapers' is dispatched to the town.
Unlike Lot Incident, subjects effected by SCP-4677 are exuding crude oil, and attack MTF members on sight. Zeta-7-7 is dragged away from the others, and his camera feed shows him being taken to the town church and forcibly converted by SCP-4677 before the feed is cut. Remaining MTF members, Zeta-7-1 through Zeta-7-6 decide to fortify themselves in the local bank and begin formulating a plan to subdue SCP-4677.
