Special Containment Procedures: Due to its nature, containment of SCP-XXXX-1 is not feasible. Efforts are directed towards altering SCP-XXXX-1's current trajectory.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation for a series of flashes originating from somewhere within the Canis Major Overdensity. The flashes occur approximately once every two to three weeks. The cause of SCP-XXXX remains under research.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was first observed on 11/04/2015 by researchers at Site-65's deep space observatory. Initially thought to be a collision between two orbital bodies, consistent recurrence of the event prompted further observation. It was determined that no celestial event would cause flashes of such intensity and frequency, and designation was assigned.
