SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard storage locker at site 19 with its batteries removed.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous Nintendo Game Boy DMG-01, released in 1989. SCP-XXXX is damaged, however its appearance is otherwise unremarkable. The volume slider is broken causing SCP-XXXX to be perpetually stuck on max volume, the shell is grimy and severely yellowed due to age, the "A" button sticks, and the power switch must be flipped on and off several times before powering on. Additionally there is a copy of the game "Pokemon Yellow" stuck in SCP-XXXX's cartridge slot. All conventional efforts to removed the game have failed and site researchers have for the time given up on it, as to keep from damaging SCP-XXXX any further.

When average store bought batteries are placed in the back of the system everyone in the effective range of SCP-XXXX (11 meters) begin to refer to it as "My Game Boy". Individuals affected by SCP-XXXX become incredibly hostile and protective of the SCP-XXXX. If multiple individuals are present, an argument will ensue over who SCP-XXXX belongs to. This argument, unless put to a stop by the removal of batteries or removal of persons affected, will evolve into a physical altercation. If left to their own devices, this altercation will end in all but one of the affected individuals dead. The remaining individual will proceed to play SCP-XXXX until the batteries die or until the individual is interrupted.
