Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: Any non-Foundation undersea expeditions within 20 km of SCP-XXXX are to be prohibited where possible and otherwise intercepted. Usage of SCP-XXXX is dictated by the charter of the Völuspá Project, see Addendum XXXX.A.
Data gathered from SCP-XXXX is extremely sensitive and all procedures relating to its information security are to be followed exactly. No persons may have knowledge of SCP-XXXX except individuals with 5/XXXX clearance. No individual is to be given 5/XXXX clearance unless they are a member of the Overseer Council or permanantly posted to work on the Völuspá Project.
Personnel assigned to the Völuspá Project are to meet the following criteria:
- Candidate must have held a clearance level 3 or higher for no less than five years.
- Candidate must have no record of failure to follow any information security protocol.
- Candidate must have no record of failure to follow special containment procedures.
- Candidate must have a tested probability of action displaying disloyalty to the Foundation below 0.1%.
- Candidate must agree to lifelong assignment to Project Völuspá. Retirement will not be possible.
- Candidate must agree that they will be declared deceased. Immediate family is to receive a pension from the Foundation.
Data generated by SCP-XXXX is to be stored only within SCP-XXXX itself, or at Site-01 as needed. In the event that information must be delivered to the Overseer Council from SCP-XXXX, a Project Völuspá member (herafter "messenger") will be selected to give a report to the Council. The messenger will be ferried to the surface, and then escorted to a deep-exclusion stealth aircraft piloted by hand-selected members of MTF Alpha-1 ("Red Right Hand"). Once travelling at 15,000 m above sea level, the messenger will be granted provisional 6/XXXX clearance and transported to Site-01. Persons with 6/XXXX clearance are strictly prohibited from contact with non-O5 entities.
The messenger may not carry any written or physical documentation regarding SCP-XXXX. The messenger will give an oral report to the Overseer Council. At the conclusion of this meeting, the messenger will receive Class-C amnestic treatment by MTF Alpha-1, then returned to their post at SCP-XXXX. Level 6/XXXX clearance is then withdrawn. The messenger is to have no memory of this task, the Overseer Council, or Site-01.
This information handling procedure is hereafter referred to as the Revelation Protocol. The Revelation Protocol must be enacted if information is obtained from SCP-XXXX that:
- reveals a 2% or greater probability of a K-Class scenario within the next 6 months
- reveals any probability of a K-Class scenario instigated by an anomaly known to exist within baseline reality
- indicates a threat to any member of the Overseer Council.
