Special Containment Procedure: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX full containment is impossible.
To limit the apparition of new instances, personnel prone to paranoia should receive the support of a therapist as well as any neccessary mesure to lessen said paranoia. Prevention speeches about SCP-XXXX should be given to relevant personnel.
Additionally any anomalous object suddenly appearing near foundation personnel should be approached with the awareness that it may be an SCP-XXXX-B instance.

If an instance does appear, priority should go to identifying and isolating the corresponding SCP-XXXX-A instance and explaining the situation. In the extreme scenario were SCP-XXXX's effect does not fully dissipate, amnestics may be used on the SCP-XXXX-A instance.

If evidence suggests that a registered anomalous object may be an instance of SCP-XXXX-B : the entry should be archived and temporarily removed from the database, all employees having accessed the entry or present at the time of the anomaly's discovery should be told that the anomaly is an instance of SCP-XXXX-B. If the object's anomalous properties do not dissipate they are most likely real, and the anomaly's entry should be returned to the database and recorded in the list of verified anomalies.

Description : SCP-XXXX is the phenomena by which non-anomalous objects acquire anomalous properties. SCP-XXXX can occur when an individual believes and/or fears that a non-anomalous object¹ is anomalous. Whether the various instances of SCP-XXXX follow a pattern or if they appear at random remains under investigation.

In the events of SCP-XXXX, the object (SCP-XXXX-B) will then become anomalous to variable degrees depending on how anomalous the individual (SCP-XXXX-A) believes it to be, always exceeding that belief by a slight margin unless believed to be completely non-anomalous.

SCP-XXXX was first hypothesised by Dr.Devert based on Dr.Vereti's paper on AFP, Anomaly Fueled Paranoia, in which he studies the effect that working on anomalies, especially those which look normal at first, can impact a foundation employee's mental health.

Dr.Vereti explains that, due to access to the database and a protocol that promotes extreme precaution, personnel often feels overwhelmed and has a tendency to develop what he calls AFP, a fear or sensation that anything could potentially be anomalous, resulting in feelings of insecurity and paranoia. He then justifies his claims using the testimonies of 53 other foundation therapist.

Dr.Devert elaborated on that idea based on an experience by several of her and her colleagues' patients affected with AFP, who recall having their specific suspicion about an object being anomalous confirmed. This along with numerous accounts of sudden anomalies surrounding personnel lead Devert to propose SCP-XXXX as the explanation for such events.
