Seeking Greenlights: Yes

Page Type: SCP Article

Genre: Thriller

Page Layout: Page will be divided in four sections:

  1. Presentation of Specimen, including backstory and main gimmick.
  2. Specimen Containment Procedures.
  3. A narrative presenting tests made with specimen, exploring its capabilities and unpredictable behavior.
  4. A narrative including a doctor trying to understand more about the specimen, and eventually discovering an unbearable truth.

Elevator Pitch: The specimen is a cyborg created by a biomechanical engineer after his son was involved in an accident involving a biological agent that mutated and deformed the victim. It is mostly harmless, but it will accept missions that attempts the saving and/or protecting of individuals. It has no master, and it will accept assignments from anyone, and it may even overwrite undergoing missions for another if convinced that it is for the best.

However, the specimen has no moral code, and it only cares about the number of individuals (not necessarily humans) that are being protected (Ex: If you ask it to save you by exterminating a group of evil demons, it will not accept the mission). Furthermore, if the current mission at any point threatens the subject life, or if it is proposed to the subject that it should kill itself, it will become enraged and will murder whoever proposed the mission or threatened its life.

The specimen has a versatile arsenal at its disposal, ranging from heavy artillery, biological weapons, and even holy weapons. The arsenal by itself is not relevant, but subject will be using it imaginatively allowing it to terminate individuals in unpredictable and creative ways.

Central Narrative: It will be divided in two sections

  1. The first one describes a series of tests performed to evaluate the specimen's mentality, which will have some unpredictable outcomes, including the death of SCP's personal.
  2. The second shows the story of a scientist who started investigating about the cyborg origins, and eventually there will be the discovery of an unimaginable truth coated with a plot twist.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: An interesting characteristic of the subject will be its containment procedures, and the object class may range from safe to Keter, depending on the situation. It will depend on the specimen status and if it can be convinced to return to its cell by changing its current assignment. If not, both its biomechatronic and organic parts must be neutralized simultaneously, which will be prove difficult for a variety of reasons. There will also be some smart cross-linking, aimed at showing the cleverness of SCP's personal when dealing with specimens.

Additional Notes: Would like reviewers to give some feedback about potential of the plot and specially about the specimen, if it is not too complex and if it is an idea interesting enough.
