As you probably expect, this is my very first SCP that I am seriously thinking about doing something with. I'm quite nervous about effing this so please critique as much as possible :)

At its core, SCP-XXXX is a small box that appears in a subjects mind once it has been given a detailed description of the anomaly. The box does not actually exist, only the description of it and the mental image which subjects create within their minds. Once a subject has been exposed to the description, the image of SCP-XXXX will be fixed in their minds indefinitely. This can be . They will also sense a strong, anomalous urge to open this box. Should the subject not be informed of the dangers of SCP-XXXX they are highly likely to open the box. However, should a subject be informed beforehand that opening SCP-XXXX is highly dangerous, the will most likely fight the urge and will try to distract themselves. Should SCP-XXXX be opened, the affected subject will instantly die due to the entire central nervous system disappearing.

The foundation tested a D-Class with congenital aphantasia (unable to form mental images). The To great surprise, the D-Class was able to visualize the box, however they didn't feel an urge to open it. Once they were prompted to do so by staff, they saw "an infinite amount of brains" within the anomaly. Further testing is ongoing.

SCP-XXXX's description was discovered on a post card, sent to [REDACTED], Munich, Germany, which read "You're always overthinking everything. Maybe this will help". The post card itself is contained and SCP-XXXX is therefore rated "Safe".
