Special containments procedure:
- Must be kept in a 10 m cubed room
- There must be no windows or gaps in walls or doors
- One door in out. Should never be used other than in emergencies
- No cameras should be used to surveille it. Only pressure plates on the floor should be used to track it location
- Under no circumstances should you look at any part of SCP-5898
- Food must be dispensed from an underground feeder every 9 hours. Must be stocked by personnel beforehand. If it receives an empty feeder it will start attacking the door and will succeed if nothing is done
- If food is dispensed even a minute or second late it will have the same response noted above
- If SCP-5898 does start attacking the door, there is a purple button on the control panel in the surveillance room. Press it immediately, notify security and leave the surveillance room immediately.
- There should always be a highly trained staff member monitoring where SCP-5898 is in it enclosed space and tracking its patterns
- You should never enter its room but if it's your only choice you should wear a thick blindfold over your eyes and earplugs to block out all sound. You should not be able to see or hear anything.
Description: When in a docile state SCP-5898 is observed to appear as an animal make out of swirling black mist. The animal is most commonly seen as a wolf, cheetah or horse. Once the creature notices someone approaching it, it will cause them to fall over and start screaming and twitching on the ground. Some of our Class-D personnel agreed to approach it and try to talk to it. As expected they fell over and started screaming and twitching. The length of these episodes varied from a few seconds to several hours. In these times the victim was completely debilitated and showed no signs of stopping until it suddenly stopped.
Minutes afterwards the victims were put in interrogation rooms and asked what they saw. Some were still unable to speak so we asked them to draw a picture of what they saw. The pictures they
