Item #: SCP-4192
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4192 is to be kept in a 3' by 3' steel room, locked inside of a bulletproof glass box with a small heat lamp resting 3" above the top of the box, fixed to the ceiling by an iron chain.
Only Level 3 (and above) personnel are allowed into Sector ██ of Site- 81 where SCP-4192 is kept.
Description: SCP-4192 is a plain white porcelain vase that is 7" tall and 7" wide, containing seven (7) dead, dry roses, each of a different color. (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Black.) On the underside of the vase was an inscription believed to be carved into the porcelain with metal tools by an unknown source. This inscription was written in Greek, and later translated into the phrase: "The Devil's Blossoms."
A 5" long crack down the front of SCP-4192 was formed after the incident on June 28th, ████.
SCP-4192 has the anomalous ability to shed the petals off one rose when a human enters the containment room with SCP-4192, and once the person has left the area, grow the petals back instantly. Animal and other living organism tests have proved to invoke no reaction from SCP-4192. The color rose which sheds it's petals is dependent on which of the Seven Deadly Sins is most prominent in oneself, as determined from various observations. Color coordination is as follows: Blue for Sloth, Red for Lust, Black for Wrath, Purple for Pride, Green for Envy, Orange for Gluttony, and Yellow for Greed.
Subjects within a 5' distance of SCP-4192 report experiencing feelings of being watched, nausea, and extreme anxiety for five (5) minutes after being removed from the area. Should a subject spend over an hour near SCP-4192, they will begin to display erratic, violent behavior and scream until their voice has given out, or until they are removed from the area.
Foreword: One subject claimed that they had heard a low, masculine voice inside their head moments before the reported fit they suffered after spending an hour and one (1) minute with SCP-4192.

████ Dove: ███ , Is there anything you'd like to say?
███: Yes…████ Dove: Go on, then.
███: I heard a voice- inside my head, a man's voice, I'm sure. It said it was SCP-4192. [Interviewer motions for subject to go on] It…wanted help. Wanted to be broken out of containment. I said no, and then I blacked out. At least, it felt that way. But I could feel my throat hurting. They said- They said I was screaming? Why was I screaming? Was it 4192?
████ Dove: That is not your concern, ███. That will be all for now.
<End Log, 4:27 PM>
Closing Statement: SCP-4192 has been deemed to be sentient, and able to communicate telepathically to subjects in containment with it, as well as influence the actions of subjects with too much exposure to SCP-4192. Protocol will be updated to limit exposure.
Addendum: When subjects left with SCP-4192 were in the containment area for over an hour without intervention and removal, they proceeded to- after being unable to scream any longer- open the glass box containment and grab SCP-4192, pricking themselves intentionally on the thorns of the roses. Subjects were then removed and SCP-4192 was returned to the box.
Addendum 2: Subjects which touched SCP-4192's thorns later displayed an increased heart rate. Both subjects later had convulsions and died of a heart attack.
