Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 2m x 4m room and placed on a podium with a glass cover.

SCP-XXXX is currently contained at Site-45.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a seemingly perfect black object. Testing has shown that SCP-XXXX absorbs 100% of all light that touches it, whilst maintaining a constant temperature of 20°C (68°F). Because of SCP-XXXX’s perfect-black color, defining the exact shape of SCP-XXXX has proven a failure, although general consensus has decided that it is a sphere-like object, appearing to be about one foot in diameter.

Further testing of SCP-XXXX has shown that when any direct contact occurs, the subject seems to enter a mindless, trance-like state, were the subject will begin to wander aimlessly. Accounts from subjects state they enter a “dream-state”, with the reports seeming to be completely random and having no correlation to the subject, emotions of subject, or anything else.

SCP-XXXX was discovered in orbit around the moon by scientists at a NASA observatory located in ██████████, New Mexico. Agent ███████ was dispatched to investigate the area, scientists were questioned and given Class-A amnestics, as well as all other personnel on the premises. An OTF team from Area-32 was sent to retrieve SCP-XXXX, and was held at Area-32 for temporary containment while transportation of SCP-XXXX was being organized. It is now permanently contained at Site-45.
