Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX cannot be contained, and due to its nature has no need to be contained even if it could. Due to its connection to anartist terrorists however, it is to be kept under stringent monitoring.
Description: SCP-XXXX is Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni's mural that adorns the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, located in the Vatican City, Italy. Its anomalous properties were brought to the attention of the Foundation when a man's lower half (which will now be referred to as SCP-XXXX-344) was seen dangling from the ceiling by a janitor, while everything above his waist was seen inside the mural itself, seemingly painted as apart of the work. The janitor in question was given Class B amnestics and subsequently released. Upon removal of SCP-XXXX-344's lower half, his upper body still present in the mural was painted over.
After this incident, tests were conducted on SCP-XXXX to better understand its anomalous properties. The results concluded with the Foundation believing that all 343 people present on the mural were not painted, but rather pulled into the mural. Each human figure present on the mural has a designation, ranging from SCP-XXXX-1 to SCP-XXXX-343. Designation SCP-XXXX-343 belongs to "God" on the painting, as the Foundation found it appropriate that both SCP-343 and SCP-XXXX-343 are God. It is unknown if SCP-XXXX-343 and SCP-343 are connected, as questioning SCP-343 about this topic has yielded no results thus far.
SCP-343's anomalous properties ceased on ██/██/20██ due to an anartist ritual being interrupted. Upon apprehending and question these anartists, they were classified as the "Minor Recreationist" variety of anartist. It is speculated that Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was an early, primitive sort of anartist, if not the earliest, and they were attempting to pay homage to his creation by continuing its functionality.
