Item #: SCP-5054

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5054 is to be held within a windowless concrete room inside a metal case, sensors are to be installed inside the metal case, and a geolocator will be fitted on SCP-5054 to alert staff when SCP-5054 teleports away.

There is no known containment procedures for the instances of SCP-5054-a and currently are known to have been summoned from SCP-5054. As they possess high intelligence any attempt at containment has utterly failed as they will teleport away if there are any attempt of containment.

Instances of SCP-5054-b are to be kept in a humanoid facility and allowed to roam freely around Site ██ around the time of 7:30 to 17:45, after said time they are to be locked in their rooms and be provided food three times a day, along with other mecessities, toys, and a tutor for basic education. For instances of SCP-5054-b that require milk, like infants, they are to be provided a bottle five times a day by a female researcher only.

Description: SCP-5054 appears to be a regular key from the 18th century. SCP-5054 was found in the ruined home of Mr. and Mrs. ████████ in the year ████, their corpses were discovered three days later by the neighbour, who reported a stench from their home. Both Mr. and Mrs. [REDACTED] were found in pieces and SCP-5054 was in the gloved hand of Mrs. ████████, the only survivor was their two-month-old child, who was sleeping soundly in his crib, it appears that the child was taken care of by an unknown entity, suspected to be an instance of SCP-5054-a.

The anomalous effect of SCP-5054 manifests when a subject catches a glimpse of it, even if it is in the peripheral vision, once this happens the subject will them be tempted to take SCP-5054 and will do anything to, even kill, to do so. If the subject fails to obtain SCP-5054 they will kill themselves through gruesome means. Once in the possession of the subject SCP-5054 will then take over the mind of the subject, prompting them to open a door that will appear once SCP-5054 is held. When the door is opened a sentient, sapient, black, humanoid creature will come out, this instance will be referred to as SCP-5054-a and is to be classified as KETER.

Instances of SCP-5054-a are highly hostile and will attack any breathing human in the vicinity with the exception of children between the ages of zero to ten, strangely enough an instance of SCP-5054-a was seen taking care of a four-year-old child before teleporting away once the child was apprehended.

All children that have been suspected of having been taken care of by an instance of SCP-5054-a is to be taken into Foundation Custody and observed, these children will be referred to as SCP-5054-b. So far the only notable change in the instances of SCP-5054-b have been that they do not appear to continue aging past the agee when they interacted with the instance of SCP-5054-a, and are to be identified as object class SAFE.

As of now there are no known way to terminate SCP-5054 and SCP-5054-a, both cannot be perfectly contained as both possess the inherent ability to teleport. SCP-5054 will teleport out of its holding cell at seemingly random intervals and thus SCP-5054 has been fitted with a geolocator.

Addendum #5054-1: Initial interview of an older instance of SCP-5054-b.
