Item #: SCP-XXXX Vampire Virus
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is a class II, minimal biological hazard contained within a host designated SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1, or simply Matthew, is to be contained in a standard humanoid cell with basic amenities.1
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Double-stranded RNA virus with a low infectivity rate due to SCP-XXXX being blood-borne. Matthew is a humanoid male 198cm in height with a slightly malnourished appearance. Matthew appears 24 years of age, but itself states it has lived over a millennia. It's personality is indistinct and almost cold at times, but despite it's containment he appears to find Site staff to be more akin to friends than captors. This behavior should neither be encouraged, nor denied.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in █████ - Africa after a string of murders lead investigators to find victims completely devoid of blood. Initially, instances of SCP-2191-1 were thought to be the cause, however, after the Foundation staff noted during autopsy victim's organs were intact and thus SCP-2191 was ruled out. Approximately 7.8 days later SCP-XXXX-1 was located by MTF Epsilon-6 residing in a cave 2.5 km from the initial incident. SCP-XXXX-1 was contained at Site-36 due to it's close proximity but was later moved to Site-45 for extended research. Several interviews with SCP-XXXX-1 have been undertaken by Dr. Crayton, level 3 researcher at Site-45.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-1, Matthew
Interviewer: Dr. Crayton
Foreword: This interview was conducted to determine SCP-XXXX's origins, abilities and whether SCP-XXXX-1 is the original creator/ host of SCP-XXXX.
