Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4419 is kept inside a 4x4x2 containment cell. SCP-4419 must always be monitored by security cameras. In case of a containment breach, all personnel must stay at least 3 meters away from SCP-4419. The Mobile Task Force will be dispatched to lead SCP-4419 back into its cell.

If SCP-4419-1 emerges, prey must be taken to its containment cell and fed to SCP-4419. Prey can be a non-humanoid animal or a Class-D prisoner.

SCP-4419 (Center couch)

Description: SCP-4419 is a white textured couch with a floral patern believed to be created sometime around April of 1976. It was first discovered inside a family home in ███, █████ after the homeowners were reported missing.

When a subject approaches SCP-4419 and gets within a meter of it, they immediately feel the need to take a seat on SCP-4419. Upon making contact with it, the subject finds it difficult to stand back up. SCP-4419 will begin to slowly pull the subject deeper inside of it through its cushions. If the subject resists and tries to get away, SCP-4419 will prevent them from escaping as they find themselves stuck to SCP-4419. After just over a minute, the subject would be completely swallowed by SCP-4419.

When SCP-4419 is left without being fed for over 5 hours, SCP-4419-1 will emerge from the cushions. SCP-4419-1 appears to be a black, boney, humanoid hand. When a subject stays within 2 meters of SCP-4419, SCP-4419-1 will immediately reach out, revealing it’s demonic arm and snatch the victim. It will then pull them closer to SCP-4419 until the subject finds themself stuck and being dragged inside deeper.

Once the subject has been completely devoured by SCP-4419, SCP-4419-1 will retreat back into the cushions.

Addendum: It is currently unknown where the subject is taken when devoured by SCP-4419. Any attempt to disassemble SCP-4419 has failed. The textured material regenerates itself when a portion is ripped off. Any holes formed in its cushions reseal themselves and any bullets fired at it will be absorbed.

In addition, SCP-4419 possesses the ability to move. SCP-4419 can slide in any horizontal position and can cover a distance of 10 miles per hour. This allows it to chase after its victims even when they’re not in range of SCP-4419-1.

To date, there has been only one (1) case of a Class-D prisoner escaping SCP-4419 while being pulled in deeper inside it. It is still unclear how the Class-D prisoner managed to escape, even after being interrogated by Doctor Amy Anderson.

Test A - █/██/201█

Subject: A 35 year old, Asain white male designated: D-4419-1

Procedure: Subject tasked with simply sitting on SCP-4419. Subject has not been informed of SCP-4419's anomalies.

Results: D-4419-1 approached the entity and sat on it immediately. Subject reported feeling relaxed. The subject then started to get pulled into the cushions at a slow rate. After being halfway pulled in, the subject tried to get up but failed. Subject resisted showing great force in escaping, but was ultimately devoured within one (1) minute.

Notes: Nothing new to report.

Test B - █/█/201█

Subject: A 23 year old, American white female designated: D-4419-2

Procedure: Subject tasked with simply sitting on SCP-4419. Subject has been informed of SCP-4419's anomalies.

Results: Same results as before, only difference is that the subject cautiosly approached SCP-4419 and showed greater resistance in escaping. Subject was devoured within one (1) minute but faster than the last subject.

Notes: The more they resist and try to escape, the faster they get swallowed.

Test C - █/█/201█

Subjects: Two (2) males, both 25 years old, one (1) American designated: D-4419-3, one (1) Caucasian designated: D-4419-4

Procedure: D-4419-3 is tied to a rope and tasked with sitting on SCP-4419. D-4419-4 is tasked with holding on to the rope and pulling D-4419-3 when in trouble. Both subjects have been informed of SCP-4419's anomalies.

Results: D-4419-3 sat on the entity and started to get pulled in deeper. The subject showed great resistance. D-4419-4 began to pull the rope. D-4419-3 was devoured after two (2) minutes when D-4419-4 let go of the rope after struggling to keep pulling.

Notes: The rope seemed to slow down the time it takes to completely devour a subject.

Test D - █/██/201█

Subject: A 39 year old, African male designated: D-4419-5

Procedure: Staff waited until SCP-4419-1 had emerged. Subject is tasked with evading the entity for as long as possible. Subject is informed of SCP-4419's anomalies.

Results: Subject ran in circles for approximately four (4) minutes before being caught by the hand of SCP-4419-1. Subject screamed while being pulled deeper into the cushions and was devoured in less then one (1) minute.

Notes: SCP-4419 posesses the ability to move in any horizontal direction. Subjects appear to be devoured quicker when caught by SCP-4419-1.

Test E - █/██/201█

Subject: A 30 year old, Asian female designated: D-4419-6

Procedure: Subject is strapped with a camera and is tasked with simply sitting on SCP-4419. Subject has not been informed of SCP-4419's anomalies.

Results: Subject approached the entity and took a seat on it. Subject began to sink deeper inside it as expected. Subject begins to scream and is devoured by the entity. Camera footage blacks out and turns to static.

Notes: Before the camera blacked out, footage showed a bright light for half a second. Not sure if this was the camera's fault or if it picked up something unusual before being disabled.

Test F - █/██/201█

Subjects: Two (2) males, a 27 year old Irishman designated: D-4419-7. A 32 year old American designated D-4419-8

Procedure: Same as Test C. D-4419-7 is handed a rope and is tied around D-4419-8. D-4419-7 is tasked with pulling the other subject when in trouble. D-4419-8 is tasked with simply sitting on SCP-4419. Both subjects have been informed of the entitie's anomalies.

Results: D-4419-8 begins to get pulled in deeper inside SCP-4419. D-4419-7 pulls with great effort. Once D-4419-8 has been fully devoured, D-4419-7 pulls the rest of the rope out of the entity. The rope is found tied with nothing attached to it.

Notes: Suspicion that SCP-4419 contains a secret pocket dimension is growing.

Test G - █/█/201█

Subject: A 24 year old, American white male designated: D-4419-9

Procedure: Subject is given a small firearm and is tasked with shooting SCP-4419. Subject is informed of SCP-4419's anomalies.

Results: Subject remained as far as he could from the entity and emptied the firearm's entire clip. Nothing had occured for one (1) minute. Subject is then tasked with approaching SCP-4419. Subject followed instructions and was then immediately grabbed by SCP-4419-1. Subject showed great resistance and escaped the entitie's grasp. Subject ran for the cell door and banged on it. Cell door was opened and the subject was immediately taken for interrogation.

Notes: This is the first time anyone had been able to escape SCP-4419. Subject will be interrogated for answers.

Interrogator: Dr. Amy Anderson

Foreword: After somehow escaping SCP-4419, Class-D prisoner D-4419-9 is interrogated on how he managed to escape.

<Begin Log>

Dr. Anderson: As you may know, you're here because you managed to accomplish something nobody has been able to succeed in. For your first question, how did you escape SCP-4419?

D-4419-9: I already told you, I don't know! I just tried to get a hold of the couch and pull myself off of it.

Dr. Anderson: There has to be more to it. You can't just easily escape from this entity.

D-4419-9: There's nothing else to mention! I just managed to get a good grip of the thing and jump off of it. I'm just as surprised as you are! Can I go now?

Dr. Anderson: We have only just begun.

D-4419-9: Well I don't know what else to tell you, Doc. It just sort of happened, you know?

Dr. Anderson: (Dr. Amy Anderson shuffles through her papers for a few seconds.) We're going to have you run a few more tests until we can fully understand how you escaped.

D-4419-9: Wait a second, I thought I was being let go. Isn't that how all of this works? I go through with your experiments and you let me go afterwards.

Dr. Anderson: You're not going anywhere until we have found a solution.

D-4419-9: This is unfair! I already told you everything I know!

Dr. Anderson: Guards, take him to his cell. We will continue testing one (1) week from now.

D-4419-9: No! Subject is taken by the guards and is lead outside the room while showing great resistance.

Closing Statement: D-4419-9 was taken back to containment. It is unclear wether or not subject is to be given an SCP rank.

Test A - █/█/201█

Subject: D-4419-9

Procedure: Subject tasked with simply sitting on SCP-4419 and to try and escape it's grasp.

Results: D-4419-9 approached the entity and sat on it immediately. The subject then started to get pulled into the cushions at the expected rate. Subject resisted the entity and showed progress in escaping. Subject successfully escaped SCP-4419 within one (1) minute.

Notes: This is the second time D-4419-9 has proven to successfully escape SCP-4419.

Note: This next test has been highly debated and after careful consideration, we have decided to allow it.

Test B - █/█/201█

Subject: D-4419-9

Procedure: Subject tasked with simply sitting on SCP-4419 and remain perfectly still.

Results: D-4419-9 protests but to no avail and is forced to continue the test. Subject takes regular precautions and sits on SCP-4419. The entity's anomalies take effect at expected time and subject is pulled halfway in. Subject is heard cursing before being fully devoured by SCP-4419.

Notes: It's been fourteen (14) hours and there has been nothing to report. We're starting to think this may have been a bad idea.

Note: After precisely twenty-seven (27) hours, a white humanoid arm is seen dramatically reaching out from SCP-4419's cushions. Later, D-4419-9 is seen climbing out of the entity. Subject was taken straight for a second interrogation.

Interrogated: D-4419-9

Interrogator: Dr. Amy Anderson

Foreword: After escaping SCP-4419 once again, D-4419-9 is interrogated on how he was able to escape the entity.

<Begin Log>

Dr. Anderson: What happened when you went inside of SCP-4419?

D-4419-9: Is this really how you're starting this? You could at least say, "Hi, how are you?" At least show a little bit of dignity. I just went through a the biggest thrill ride of my life.

Dr. Anderson: My job is to get answers out of you, not to make you comfortable. So tell me what happened inside of there?

D-4419-9: Are you sure you want to know? It's a really messed up story. I already know that if I get out of here, I'm going straight to therapy.

Dr. Anderson: I'm all ears.

D-4419-9: Well, once I got inside that couch, I fell face first on top of mud. Then I get up and look around, and wouldn't you know it? I was in a foggy forest.

Dr. Anderson: A forest? Can you describe it?

D-4419-9: You know how London looks like in the early morning? There's fog everywhere. So imagine, instead of a city there, it's an endless forest of dead trees and thick fog.

Dr. Anderson: Was there anything or anyone there in the forest with you?

D-4419-9: There was a… I don't really know how to describe it, but it was like a boney monster. It's hard to explain, but it was tall, it was black, and it looked terrifying. Its head looked like that one alien skull from the last Indiana Jones movie, you know?

Dr. Anderson: Did you make contact with it?

D-4419-9: As a matter of fact, I did. It came to me first and it just looked at me. But you're not going to believe what happened next. The thing just picked me up and threw me into the sky. I thought I was going to die or something, but all I could see was the foggy sky and then I just found myself here. I'd say I was in that forest for about ten (10) minutes or so.

Dr. Anderson: Is there anything else you need to tell us about your experience?

D-4419-9: Actually, yes. Before I got thrown into the atmosphere, I noticed a name carved on one of the trees. It said, "Emily".

Dr. Anderson: Is that all?

D-4419-9: Yes. Can I go now?

Dr. Anderson: No, you're staying here. But that will be all. Guards, take him back to his cell. I need to further investigate this situation.

D-4419-9: Oh come on! I just want to be free… let go of me!

Closing Statement: D-4419-9 was immediately taken to his cell. The Mobile Task Force has been called in for an exploration mission.

Foreword: Five (5) members of the Mobile Task Force and D-4419-9 venture inside of SCP-4419 to investigate the possible pocket dimension.

<Begin Log>

14:11PM: MTF and D-4419-9 land in SCP-4419's pocket dimension. All weapons are locked and loaded.
14:15PM: They appear to be trapped inside a forest. The fog prevents anyone from being able to see very far.

14:20PM: Nothing new to report.

14:25PM: Nothing new to report.

14:30PM: A camera is found lying on the ground. D-4419-9 is now tasked with carrying the camera as evidence.

14:32PM: The name "Emily" is seen carved on a tree.

14:40PM: Nothing new to report.

14:44PM: An expired body of a Class-D prisoner is found rotting besides another tree. The name "Emily" is once again seen carved on the tree's bark.

14:48PM: A tall and black humanoid creature is seen walking in the distance. MTF and D-4419-9 follow it.

14:55PM: The creature stops and turns around. MTF and D-4419-9 have been spotted.

NOTE: At around this time, D-4419-9 states that the creature's arm resembles SCP-4419-1. Upon further investigation, it has been confirmed that the creature they have met is in fact SCP-4419-1's true form.

14:56PM: SCP-4419-1 makes a growling sound and charges at the MTF. Shots are fired but afflict no damage onto the entity. One by one, the entity picks up each MTF soldier and throws them into the air at high speeds. In the real world, the MTF soldiers are seen being thrown out of SCP-4419 and roughly landing back in its containment cell.

14:59PM: The entire MTF squad and D-4419-9 return into the real world with minor injuries.
