Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5 centimeter thick titanium sphere with a diameter of 80 centimeters. The sphere itself is to be kept within an airtight 5x5x5 meter chamber with 1 meter thick concrete walls. The chamber and sphere are to be checked by Class-D personnel every second day for any cracks or faults. These personnel must be wearing hazmat suits when entering the containment chamber. Any damage to the sphere or chamber must be immediately reported and repaired.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an odorless white mist that, when inhaled by humans, increases in size. SCP-XXXX also appears to have some form of intelligence as it will attempt to enter a human's respiratory system and will usually travel through ventilation shafts when inside in order to maximize the amount of people that inhale it. Inhalation will cause the person who has inhaled SCP-XXXX to begin to have delusions where they see "memories" of dead WW1 soldiers.1 They begin with the soldier's childhood, but rapidly decline into horrific memories of the war. It is believed that the mist makes these "memories" even more horrifying somehow, but it is unknown why. After about 24 hours, the person who has inhaled SCP-XXXX will begin screaming and clawing at their face. They are completely incapable of communicating at this point. This phase usually lasts an hour, after this the person's heart will suddenly stop or they will beg for someone to kill them. If nobody kills them they will take their own life.2 When the person finally dies, SCP-XXXX will leak from any orifice in the body and attempt to make its way to the rest of SCP-XXXX. So far the foundation has not found a way to "cure" people of SCP-XXXX and there have not been any survivors.
Addendum: Only personnel with Level 4 clearance or higher may perform experiments with SCP-XXXX The 05 Council has forbidden all experimentation with SCP-XXXX until further notice. They are, however, considering the use of SCP-XXXX to terminate other SCPs.
