SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept at site __, in the west wing of the biological experiments laboratory.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a armored cylindrical container, roughly 16 inches (40cm) in length, has a diameter of 8 inches (20cm), and a rectangular viewport (located on the side) revealing the inside of SCP-XXXX. The cylinder itself seems to be made from a combination of highly resistant metals, similar to Molybdenum, Tungsten, Tantalum, Titanium and various Nickel and Stainless Steel alloys. All of which are most commonly used in military grade machinery and weapons. The metals are also used in some aircraft and NASA rockets.
SCP-XXXX contains a strange viscous liquid (Black in color) that seems to have a basic form of sentience. as it continuously swirls around the cylinder, presumably looking for an exit. This “Liquid” has been given the designation of SCP-XXXX-A, until further investigation has been permitted.
Addendum_1: Discovery: SCP-XXXX was observed falling from earth's orbit, crashing landing just north of Las Vegas. The crater formed by SCP-XXXX is estimated to be a 10m square impact zone. The crater is now under the Foundations control, along with any debris that fell with SCP-XXXX.
Note: After all evidence has been collected, the location of the crater will be leaked to the public as to not raise suspicions.
Addendum_2: Materials: As stated before, the materials making up SCP-XXXX are similar to most metals used in military grade machinery and weapons. Such materials are highly resistant to temperatures exceeding 1832°F - 3632°F (1000°c - 2000°c) and can resist highly corrosive acids, making them widely popular for use in spacecraft. Although we have the technology to use these materials with ease, all attempts to open and/or damage SCP-XXXX have failed. Resulting in no visible damage to the cylinder or its armoured plating, suggesting that whoever made SCP-XXXX are much more advanced than the Foundation would like.
Researchers Note: After closer inspection the two ends of SCP-XXXX look like some form of magnetic lock.
Addendum_3: The “liquid”: SCP-XXXX-A is a blak liquid mostly composed of unknown materials. No eyes, ears, or mouth are present but It has been seen “watching” staff members. And all attempts to communicate with the subject result in what we can only hope is an intense “staring” contest.
Throughout our attempts to open SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-A was noted as lifeless. Only moving if a staff member approached it. Exposing SCP-XXXX-1 to high doses of ultraviolet light (UV) has shown extremely high levels of bacteria throughout the subject, suggesting that SCP-XXXX-1 could be some form of bacterium, virus, or possibly a bio-weapon.
Addendum_4: Debris: The debris that fell with SCP-XXXX consists of armoured plating, hydraulics, various control panels, pipes, glass chunks, and so on. The armoured plating however is made of the same highly resistant materials as SCP-XXXX, but cannot withstand the same stress SCP-XXXX was put under.
We believe SCP-XXXX was being transported to a place of importance but the vessel transporting it was most likely hit side on, with a high powered energy weapon. If the ship still had power after the impact and it had some form of cloaking device, it could have slipped past our security systems. lets just hope that whoever attacked the ship went back to where they came from.
As we cannot be certain, we have given the debris the designation of, SCP-XXXX-B until the rest of the spacecraft is located and can properly be examined.
