Description: SCP-XXXX is a thirteen-second audio file which induces extreme anxiety and fear into subjects who are exposed to the audio file using headphones. Effects of exposure to SCP-XXXX typically last forty-five minutes to an hour, but continuously listening to the audio file causes more intense synonyms and longer lasting effects. Listening to SCP-XXXX has no observable effects on subjects who listen to the audio file using speakers rather than headphones. Tests have not shown why the effects of SCP-XXXX are only present with the use of headphones.

SCP-XXXX was found on the computer of Stephen C███ in 20██. Reports of multiple people playing online games entering a state of fear and anxiousness has caught the attention of the Foundation, and investigations have traced these incidents to C███. He stated that he had created SCP-XXXX in the ██████████ audio-editing program and supposedly used it to “ear-rape” other players in online video games. However, he was not aware of the effects of SCP-XXXX and is not affected by listening to the audio file, and the reason for this is still unknown. Amnestics were administered to C███ following the interrogation in order to preserve the secrecy of the Foundation.
