Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4177 is to be kept in a standard containment locker at site 17. Testing with SCP-4177 is to be approved by no less than at least one Level 2 Researcher. When conducting testing, a secondary member is to be within test chamber for removal of SCP-4177 form subjects mouth
Description: SCP-4177 is a pacifier, baby blue in colour. The pacifier has a hook on the backside, used to remove SCP-4177 from subjects mouths. SCP-4177 has shown to have the ability to grow or shrink as necessary to a subjects mouth size. This effect happens upon first contact with SCP-4177 and in conjunction with several other effects.
The current known effects of SCP-4177 are detailed as following:
1) Ability to shrink and grow
As explained prior, this effect happens upon first contact with the SCP
2) 'Anti-Aging'
After prolonged use of varying times averaging between 1 (one) to 2 (two) hours, subjects being to be affected by 'anti-aging' property. This effect ends upon SCP-4177's removal from subjects mouth. However effects to the subject appear permanent. If subject retains SCP-4177 for extended period of time it is possible for subject to be 'anti-aged' to before they were conceived. See Addendum 4177.01
3) Reduced mental capacity
Along with 'anti-aging', SCP-4177 also has the ability to reduce a subjects mental capacity if exposed for too long. This effect is only present when a subject has been 'anti-aged' to between an age bracket of 1 (one) to 7 (seven) years old, depending on subject. It is unknown if subjects who experience this effect retain memories and advance body-motor skills.
4) Reduced physical ability
Much similar to the reduced mental capacity effect, if a subject is exposed for extended periods then they will appear to loose muscle mass. As with the prior effect, this effect differs by each subject.
It has currently not been tested if the effects can also removed diseases contracted naturally through a subjects life. Dr. ██████ is currently looking for viable candidates to test this.
The manner (or manners) in which SCP-4177 causes its various effects are still yet to be discovered as no anomalies have been detected during testing.
If SCP-4177 is broken into two or more solid pieces then all effects will cease. SCP-4177 will then reform itself over the course of 24 (twenty four) hours. Grinding and incinerating SCP-4177 into a fine powder has proven to be ineffective in stopping its ability to reform. The only notable difference observed, was that of SCP-4177 taking a longer time to reform. It is theorized that SCP-4177 could reform back from total destruction, however due to its low threat level this has been deemed unnecessary use of resources.

Testing of if the 'anti-aging' effect extends human life is currently await results.
Addendum 4177.01: Experiment 013 - 02/10/20XX - Long term exposure
During experiment 013, conducted 30/09/20██, subject D-1413 was placed into experiment chamber with SCP-4177. D-1413, aged 64, was informed of SCP-4177's base properties.
0930: Subject was directed to place SCP-4177 into mouth and not remove until directed.
0931: Subject Complied
0931: During initial 30 (thirty) minutes of experiment, subject was given a basic physical examination and told to complete a standard knowledge exam.
1001: Subjects completed tests and scored within average for age bracket.
1049: Subjects skin has lost stretch marks upon face and hair has changed from being majority silver to black, reported as the subjects natural colour when they were younger.
1127: Subject reportedly shorter than during physical exam at start of experiment by 4.8cm
1151: Subjects clothes no longer fit.
1226: Subject has lost ability to speak.
1300: Subject has formed a womb around self
1307: Any sign of D-1413 is unable to be detected from sensors pre-placed in room.
Addendum 4177.2: Requests following experiment 013
Advised for amendment of procedures during experiments to remove SCP-4177 from subjects mouth before they reach an age of independence. Advised as 14 (fourteen) years of age.
This procedure can be over ruled from approval by no less than 2 (two) Level 3 Researchers. If experiments are carried out including long term exposure without approval, all researchers found present will be reprimanded with the possibility of demotion to D-Class

"Since I have begun research of SCP-4177 I have always felt like something was off about it. But I cant seem to put my finger on it, until such a time that D-2813 has grown back to an age of being able to be questioned they will be given a basic education and transferred to child care sector. If 4177 really does change, or even erase memories then will know by the rate of D-2813's mental growth."

"Some background information about 4177's turned up today. Before this I only knew it was collected at █████. However with what I have just learned, being that it existed during early England. And it was in fact used by some noble house holds associated with black magic. Given that it was reported that multiple households appeared to have longer lifespans leaves me with another question.
Are there multiple instances of SCP-4177?"
