Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 instances are to be monitored 24/7 for any signs of traffic. Any suspects attempting to access SCP-XXXX-1 instances are to be denied access by a firewall. Suspects attempting to breach this firewall are to have the device they’re using shut down, and will be tracked and detained.
Any new SCP-XXXX-1 instances found are to be put under the containment procedures detailed above. If a successful breach of an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is found, then all staff assigned to the monitoring of SCP-XXXX are to track the suspects and shut down all internet service towers within a 160 kilometer range of the suspect or suspects.
Access to SCP-XXXX-1 is only to be given to personal with written permission from O5-█, and when accessing SCP-XXXX-1 they are to use a computer which only allows you to type one (1) letter at three (3) second intervals.
Additionally, personal will also be monitored by two armed guards, and any attempts to type a name into the “kill-box” which doesn’t match the name given to security personnel will result in the subject to immediately be removed from the procedure, and appropriate punishment will be given at the authority of the O5 council.
Description: An individual SCP-XXXX-1 instance is a website of varying names, but usually with the name being or being similar to “Kill anyone! Absolutely free!”. This website is not available to access on regular search browsers, and is only available on the dark web.
All attempts by the foundation to track the origin or creator of SCP-XXXX, as well as attempts to take down some of the sites, have failed.
Upon visiting the website, a message is displayed which says: “input a name in the kill-box (last name not required) to have them killed with no charge to you!”.
Under this message is a box which is registered as the fore-mentioned “kill box”. Upon typing in a name and clicking “enter”, the website will take three (3) to four (4) minutes to “send the message”. Disconnecting from internet during this process will result in the process stopping. After this period, note is displayed saying: “thank you for donating to the cause” and will exit back to the previous page.
The person who is designated to be killed (who will now be referred to as SCP-XXXX-2) will then die within a period of one (1) to fourty-eight (48) hours. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX-2 instances can only die by natural means, and any attempts to kill an SCP-XXXX-2 instance has been met with failure. This affect only works on humans or humanoids.
One only needs to type a first name into the “kill-box” although writing a last name is optional. SCP-XXXX-1 seems to choose SCP-XXXX-2 based on who the subject typing in the “kill-box” desires to be SCP-XXXX-2. If the subject has no intention of turning anyone into an instance of SCP-XXXX-2, or does not know the true nature of SCP-XXXX-1, then who gets turned into SCP-XXXX-2 is who the subject thinks of the most when that name is brought up.
The first SCP-XXXX-1 instance was discovered in 20██, when rumors about a “website where you can kill people” sprung up on the internet. Eventually, foundation staff found a link to the website now known as the first discovered instance of SCP-XXXX-1. However, between 20██ and 20██, over twenty (20) other instances of SCP-XXXX-1 we’re discovered.
Addendum: On October ██, 20██ a major breach in the firewall was detected by foundation staff. Attempts to shut down the electronics in the process failed. However, foundation staff was able to track the location of the hackers and quickly shut down the service towers in the area. Further investigation discovered the that the Chaos Insurgency was likely behind the attack.
