SCP-XXXX

Item #: XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The entity is kept in a 10x10x5 m space, at a temperature of at least 25°C. Anything requested is to be discussed with someone of at least Level 3 clearance.

The room is covered in soft substances, including blankets and pillows. A new supply of books is to be delivered every two months. Due to the anomaly’s sharp appendages, stuffing and feathers accumulate the area. Maintenance for this should be carried out with a minimum of two persons, with one drawing its attention and holding conversation the entirety of the visit.

High pitched noises and ripping sounds from the unit are to be expected. If they cease abruptly or anyone near experiences sudden vertigo, light-headedness, seizures, or profuse bleeding, lock down the area and evacuate while the situation is handled.

Under no circumstances should it be touched. On the chance that it is, any survivors are to be interrogated and later killed.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid, black being with no visible facial features. Though preferring to move on two limbs, it’s body structure supports the idea that it should walk on two legs. It weighs several grams, changing slightly with how much it eats, and at full height, it stands at approximately 200 centimeters, also changing slightly with how much it eats.

It is capable of some form of speech, often conveying what it means through thought.

SCP-XXXX has shown evidence alluding to a nonlinear concept of time1, and shows an amused disposition when asked questions about itself.

When touched by anything living, SCP-XXXX reacts in a violent fashion. Its limbs spiral outward and eyes open across its body. Any sentient beings near are bombarded with violent images of the future, and, unless restrained, will search for the quickest way to end their own life. When in this state, any non-organic material that comes into contact with SCP-XXXX is sent to a location which is, at the time of writing, unknown.

SCP-XXXX does not seem to need food, water, or rest, and is capable of seeing in every direction. There is not much known about it, but anyone who has not asked before is welcome to ask, provided they have Level 3 clearance or permission and supervision from personnel who do.

Addendum-XXX-01: Excerpts from one of the very first interviews prior to [DATA EXPUNGED], translated according to the interviewer.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX.

Interviewer: ██████ ██████████

Foreword: SCP-XXXX speaking with interviewer. Small talk, followed by a brief Q&A session.

<Begin Log, 1200>

██████████: Hello.

SCP-XXXX: Good evening. I love your coat. Is it new?

██████████: It is, thank you. As you know, I'm here to ask you questions.

SCP-XXXX: [laughter] Alright. Let's start.

██████████: What can you do?

SCP-XXXX: Many things. What can't I?

██████████: Where did you come from?

SCP-XXXX: Oh, that's a good question. I can't quite remember.

██████████: D—

SCP-XXXX: [annoyed tone] Do you want to kill anyone, yes, no. I don't see why it matters. Are we really going to keep up this pointless question asking?

██████████: So you know what I am going to say before I say it, then?

SCP-XXXX: I think you know the answer to that question.

<End Log, 1205>

Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX began to grow increasingly agitated, and the interviewer was soon escorted out of the room.

Addendum-XXX-02: Excerpts from one of ██████████'s biweekly meetings with SCP-XXXX, prior to [DATA EXPUNGED].

<Begin Log, 1518>

██████████: What have you been reading lately? c5.

SCP-XXXX: I've found an interest in H.P. Lovecrafts' work. h5.

██████████: Oh, that's the writer, of…

SCP-XXXX: The Call of Cthulu, yes.

██████████: What have you been reading? d4.

SCP-XXXX: The Lurking Fear. h6. It's intriguing so far, and I've barely reached the second paragraph.

██████████: I'm surprised. You tend to read fairly quickly, normally. Er-

SCP-XXXX: [chuckling]

██████████: -f6.

SCP-XXXX: I've been taking my time. Check.

██████████: Darn. But, well. Is there a reason why? You usually speed through them without much worry. b7. Is there something-

SCP-XXXX: [flat tone] Checkmate.

██████████: …

SCP-XXXX: It seems our time has come to an end, today. Goodbye for now, ██████████.
