Nephea

Item #: 2235

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: The SCP should be put in a soundproof cell. They should not engage in contact with anyone unless absolutely necessary. If found, ignore all attempts at conversation and avoid eye contact.
SCP-2235 can influence nearly any SCP who can understand human language, although its ability to manipulate them is much weaker. However, some SCPs may help it voluntarily so it must not have any contact with them.
It must always have a human form within reason. It does not age or seem to be affected by diseases, and it does not require air, water or food, but it does seem to enjoy eating. It can also be bribed into using its influence to get other SCPs to perform tasks, although the risk is high.
It can be harmed, but it is skilled in combat.

Description: The SCP can morph into any human it wants. It cannot morph into something that is not human. It targets a person, then morphs into a form that would garner their pity. It prefers important people with a strong standing in their community. They're generally less susceptible but are better for the SCP's end goal.
The SCP will usually buy a type of mansion with its followers' money. This is generally used to house those who can't survive away from it.
The people who join soon become willing to sacrifice their own lives for the SCP. Much of what happens is unknown, as the people who have been rescued from the SCP's control have few memories of what happened.
The SCP's goal is to destroy relationships and make everyone fight against each other. It will make friends become bitter enemies and make families fight amongst themselves. Entire towns have collapsed because of it, only coming together again when the SCP moved on to another target.
The SCP can only be identified after it has built up its following. The rumors are generally the same. A cult, with a leader who seems entirely too sweet to be ruining people's lives.
It has never been found to not follow this pattern, although it's entirely possible that it was not identified when it did deviate.
The SCP has occasionally formed relationships with people who they have not used for personal gain, usually runaways or orphans. This is the only time that the SCP has shown compassion for a living being. They have occasionally been able to sway SCP-2235's decisions.

SCP-2235-1 are the full members of SCP-2235's cult. They have varying levels of dedicating, ranging from casual members who can still lead a normal life to fanatics who can't remember to pay their electricity bills. They have been able to provide researchers with invaluable information about the workings of SCP-2235's cult.

SCP-2235-2 are the members who are chosen to be in SCP-2235's inner circle. SCP-2235 brings them with it wherever it goes, although it has occasionally abandoned an SCP-2235-2. The main difference between them and SCP-2235-1 is that they cannot do anything without direct orders from the SCP. They even need to be reminded to eat and drink, although the SCP usually tells them to do it at certain intervals.
If the SCP decides to abandon them, they will either commit suicide or keep looking for it until they die. Of the five that have been rescued, one is still alive. He was identified as [REDACTED]. He did not react to pictures of his wife or child. He was moved to a hospital so they could visit, but he did not react to them in any way.

SCP-2235-3 is the heir to SCP-2235 with a psychic connection to it. They are an SCP-2235-2 who is chosen by SCP-2235. It will go into hibernation while it develops its powers. It will wake up when SCP-2235 dies or is incapacitated. It is not fully compliant to SCP-2235, meaning it may occasionally try to take out the SCP-2235 if it is woken up for a temporary amount of time.
If both SCP-2235-3 and SCP-2235 are taken out it will not be possible for a new leader to control the SCP-2235-1s and 2s. However, the SCP-2235 would sacrifice itself to keep the SCP-2235-4 safe.
